day started out fine, i was on my way to work. and on the 73 freeway in cali. its a pay toll road so there usually isnt anyone on it. Nor are there cops. but yesterday was tha day..... there was traffic, which caused an accident, which caused me to be late. like Office space late. so the traffic breaks free and i know i have an 8am meeting. ppl calling in from jersey. so anyways im making a break for work and im going close to 95. i get to my exit. and blamo. a cop pulls up on me. i get my ticket and then he says i have just had my licence suspended. im like WHOA! WHAT! i get cuffed, and thrown into jail. he says my car isnt availible for 30 days. and i need my license back ASAP to get to work. so im in jail. its fawking dirty, shiet everywhere. convicts. attempted murders, thieves, and various convicts. im there for a warrant you could say.i moved to so.cal and never got a court date. i guess i neglected it. and my bail is 200 bucks. no one knew i got put in jail. but thank the lord there was an inmate there that knew a # of a family bonds man by heart. so i got a 20 second call and fawkin 14 hours later im out and back at work, a friend too me to work. dude... orange county jail is by far the shiettiest place, and no one should see the things i saw. its a hell hole guys. dont go to jail for stupid shiet. the guards kick u and spit at u. and u just feel degraded... and low lifed. there were ppl there that didnt deserve to be there. one guy was just covering for his wife nice guy, she did a hit and run, and he just covered for her when the cops went looking. said she wasnt home yet from work. (really she was home) and they took them both in front of their kids... yikes. Anyways long story short. my fault, and u guys should by all means for anything dont go to jail man... one thing i did realize is that your faith just gets so much stronger(if you are a God fearing person) cuz the second i left my troubles in his hands, the doors opened up and i was out. an Audizine member was contacted by my bondsman and he was able to front the money. a side note. the cops jacked the money in my wallet. i know its 45 bucks but they still took it and made me sign a bogus release to get outta jail. so i signed it. blah blah. the end.

so here i am monday trying to see if i can get my car out on account the CHPs disgresion so i can go to and from work only. im wondering if that is possible. are there any CHP or policmen on this forum? if anyone can shed some light on this it would be of help. also, they said only the registered owner can pull out the car. well my mom is the reg. i owe her 10k left and im the secondary. unfortuntely shes in vietnam and will remain there for a while for business ventures. anyone have a clue as to what i can do?

i was in jail because i had a family member visit me and northern cali. they drove my moms car back to our house but was taking the car pool. be themself. i tried to get them out by following them and honking but that only got the attention of the police that was coming up. and i was by myself. so i shot my self in teh foot trying to save someone else. thats why i had an arrest warrant. i just called the bonds man to thank him for his troubles. but he said u are lucky that they pulled me out because usually they dont take less then 15k in bails. mine was only 2k. but the trouble id go thru would be far worse. because theyd bus me back to san jose, and make a ton of stops. which would be like 6 days of jail. hopefully ive done time served.

dude, I've been to OC Central aka "The Loop" 3 times and I can whole heartedly say that you are completely FULL OF ISHT! you say you were there for 14 hours, which means you were nothing but a cite and release. they book you, throw you into cold holding cells that are SLIGHTLY overcrowded, and move you around from cell to cell all night, but dude, kicking and spitting on you? I know that they take measures to ensure that dangerous people aren't kept with "the innocents" like yourself. C'mon, have some freakin common sense before you talk out your ass like that. EVERY inch of that place is under constant video surveilance, FOR YOUR SAFETY. That means that if those things REALLY happened, you can subpeona the videos from your period of incarceration and use them as evidence in court. As for them stealing your cash, did you make sure to go to the cashier when they released you? They don't give you your money back WITH your property (cell phones, wallets, watches, jewelry). Instead they remove the money and hold it in safe keeping, its the last thing you get back before you're free.

"I was there for a warrant you could say". A warrant for what? Failure to appear is a misdemeanor not taken lightly in orange county.

I have to laugh at all the people that get arrested and taken to jail for speeding and they bitch bitch bitch about where their conscious decision got them. GROW UP! You say you were delayed because of an accident, and then you go and drive at reckless speeds on the SAME FREAKING ROAD. C'mon, you were asking for it buddy. How stupid can you be to not think that after a major traffic accident, there would be a cop or two on the road? hahaha man I feel SO smart...I'm glad I read this before I head to class right now, Philosophy, where I'll probably get knocked down a notch or two hahaha.

oh yeah and good luck getting your ride back.

Santa Ana is such a nice facility isn't it? In with all the cholo gang members in holding for their court dates. BTW what ethnicity are you?

dude i bet he didn't even go upstairs, he was in the drunk tank i'm sure. It usually takes you about a day to finally get processed, showered, jumpsuited and put upstairs with the REAL convicts, people who are too dangerous to be cite and release cases. You got lucky.

to clarify btw, I've never had to do anything more than 18 hours, and all for very, VERY ridiculous charges that I will not elaborate on here.

and how long has it been since you've been on the 73 dude? It's freakin' packed EVERY morning. that shit looks just like the 405 nowadays...

Rollin, for sure im the one that was in there, i can tell you what happened. and yes when i signed the release paper work with the cashier they told me i had no money at all in the wallet. ive got a copy. but i know for sure i had money because i went to the atm the nite before. i dont forget things like that. i was put in with the general population. so yea there were all color bands in a cell. so dont tell me what happened to me. i was jump suited up and showered. i opt'd not to. IM TELLING THE STORY.

Mike- im vietnamese, no jail is a nice facility.

RollinInGreenz
01-29-2007, 11:30 AM
dude you were NOT in general population if you were cited and released on your own recognizance. You don't even know what jail is man...

OsideA4
01-29-2007, 11:32 AM
i didnt get "OR" dude...

they don't put you in general pop for holding, you were in just that, holding. with guys that didn't pay tickets and other shit like it.

nope, shuffle your convict ass to the rental counter and start saving you pennies as impound fees run between $50-$100 a day, X30 days, plus a hundred for the tow

RollinInGreenz
01-29-2007, 11:37 AM
when I got locked up and my ride was taken to a private impound lot, they would not release the vehicle to anyone but the primary registered owner of the vehicle. I doubt the CHP impound is going to give you any more leeway than that. Oh yeah, and not to freak you out or anything, but i've heard that after 30 days they can auction your ride.

and why are you so anxious to get your car back and start driving to work again when your license is suspended?

chevrolegs mang.

OsideA4
01-29-2007, 11:37 AM
well while i was being shuffled they threw in some more guys from chino something prison. so im sure there were alot more then tickets and drunk in publics. they said a whole bus was being loaded in.im kid you not guys. sure i can get a rental.

the chp looked me up and said i can drive TO and FROM work only. until my court date. which is in san jose.

RollinInGreenz
01-29-2007, 11:43 AM
how long is your license supposed to be suspended for?

OsideA4
01-29-2007, 11:47 AM
up until my court date.

Cicada
01-29-2007, 12:20 PM
so CHP is going to let you use your car TO and FROM work ONLY....

KNOWING that you don't have a license?

:bs:

OsideA4
01-29-2007, 12:22 PM
they are keeping it at that status until my court date is what im trying to say, and from my understanding after calling the local CHP

Cicada
01-29-2007, 12:35 PM
yes; they're keeping your license suspended only until the court date...but that doesn't change the fact that it's still suspended. I don't see how they could possibly let you use your car knowing that your license is suspended.

That sux, hope you learned your lesson. OC jails aint $hit compared to LA county. I'd rather go to prison than spend a week in county. There are more deaths up in that mug than State.

RollinInGreenz
01-29-2007, 05:15 PM
yeah, if the CHP says, with the exact wording, that your license is suspended, if you drive, you are subject to being pulled over and thrown in Jail, again.

Suspended means that your license is no longer valid.

RESTRICTED licenses allow you to go from home to work/school and back.

If they say your license is suspended, I wouldn't risk driving dude.

Psh!! 14 hours in OC?

I spent 5 days in LA County "twin towers" because of some paperwork screwups. Saw some jailhouse law and order go down on 2 different accounts. Met a kid from Indiana who got caught moving 4 lbs of heroin because his car alarm went off at the gas station, and the cops went to make sure he was ok and saw the bags.

The funniest thing? the ones who were facing the hardest time were the ones who were the nicest. Because they were more willing to accept the consequences for their actions. you might want to consider the same...

Isn't there some kind of restricted license that allows you to only drive to work and back?
Not that it helps you now, but every time I drive the 73, I see several cops. They tend to wait near the toll plaza and on downhills, around corners.

Oh, and their cameras are very efficient at catching toll dodgers.
