I'm supposed to be telecommuting but my PC is shutdown and I can't get anyone in the office on the phone to turn it back on.

Looks like I am going to have to cancel the appt to finally fix my A/C and cruise on down there to push the power button.

This sucks

OMG that's too funny. I wonder if it was the electricians.....

"Hey, no one's using this PC....that's an unauthorized waste of energy."

Either that, or they're moving you into a deeper, darker dungeon.

Hahah... It may be a new cost cutting measure... Who knows? I called the tech that works around the corner from me to go see whats up with our machines. I called around to my team and apparently all of our machines in that block are down. I wonder if they were testing the power or something in that area or if we are all laid off and just don't know it yet.

OMG.... Now the A/C people just called and asked if its okay to come out today instead of tomorrow.

I told them it was fine since I was here waiting for them anyway.

I don't know what you're talking about ;)

Turns out they decided to test the backup power systems and I guess that shuts down our machines. It would have been nice if they maybe told us before they did that but oh well.

BTW... my A/C is still not fixed but the guy that came out this time actually found a problem without having to do all the stuff the other guy said had to be done. Now I have to wait for them to bring back a valve on Friday.
