My wife handles all of our finances, so she sees where everything goes. I'm not poor, by any means or in any kind of financial trouble. I've secretly saved up $400, here and there over that last few months and need another $200 by Valentines day to get my wife a Tiffany's Bracelet.

I can clean, do yard work, pretty much what ever anyone wants that's legal, and unless it's a big chunk of change it has to be in San Diego. Here's how I figure it:

$10/hr - Yard work, cleaning, general stuff.

$15/hr- Anything disgusting, or generally something that most people don't want to do.

$20/hr- I can Mig weld pretty well, and have my own Miller welder. I've done 4 sets of Piggie Pipes( Custom Down Pipes) for B5 S4's and usually sell them for $300+ on Audizine. I've build some pretty big jigs, and some custom Machine Gun mounts for my helicopter while I was in the USMC, that we were going to use in Iraq. Edit: I won't do anything Safety related, i.e. roll cage, seat brackets, suspension components. Although I have done all of these for myself, there is just to much liability that goes along with doing this for someone else. Especially for the rate that I'm throwing out there.

Also, I have access to any Military base's Auto Hobby shop. So if you know what you're doing but just need a hand, some tools and a hydraulic lift, I can get you on base and help you out. They have pretty much any tool you could need, and ASE certified mechanics to help out.

What ever the job is, it has to at least add up to $50. So either a minimum of 5 hrs @ $10/hr or $50 for a short welding job. What ever is worth it to you.

I am truly serious and totally legal (as in a U.S. citizen). Like I said before, I have a job and we would have to work around my current job hours, which is very flexible. I just really want to surprise my wife. She lost her other Tiffany's bracelet while we were on vacation last year.

Oh, and I was a helicopter mech for the USMC, so I'm pretty handy with a wrench if you just need an extra set of hands.

If your interested, post up or PM and we can work something out.

That right there is commitment!

You should show your wife this post after Valentine's day. You are going the extra mile to surprise her.

Ummm . . . which bracelet are you getting her? I just got one for christmas and it was like 3 bills

It's the heart linked bracelet. It's little hearts linked together all the way around. I got it for her last Valentines day, and her wrist is so small it slipped off when we were up in Napa last year. She felt so bad about it, I didn't even give her shit about it. It's like $525 + tax = like $570

So I'm getting her the exact same one, but now they make Sm/Med/Lrg ones. You can't resize it, because of the way it's made, and before it only came in one size.

If you saved up $400 already, spending another $200 wouldn't necessarily lead her on that you're buying her another $600 bracelet. But whatever, rake some leaves.

Well the point it that I want her to think that I'm not getting her anything. We've been together for a little over years now 5 of those Valentines were spent away(Boot camp, Military training, 2 week deployment to desert, Iraq, and I'm going on a business trip for this V-day) the sixth V-day we had a really nice dinner and I got a call right in the middle telling me that I deploy to Iraq in 72 hrs. The 7th V-day, was last year when I gave her the bracelet.

The point is that we really don't do anything for V-day, cause it just never works out. So if I take out $200, she'll know I'm up to something. If I put the last $200 on a debit/ credit card she'll know instantly. Do you really think, I want to spend 6 hrs working on Sat. after I worked all week?? When you live with someone for so long, and all your money is "our money" it's very easy for them to tell when you are up to something. This is just how I figured that I could get some cash to surprise her.

You know, I thought about this about an hour ago. I started thinking who I knew that would spot that kinda cash, and none of my friends made the list. I think most of them owe me money for one thing or another. But since you brought it up............ j/k.

OnTheGreen- Once you've been married for a few years, that's exactly what happens bro. She owns you. That is if you actually love her, you'll pretty much do anything to bring a smile to her face. aruisenor@sbcglobal.net

if i didn't have my own V-day plans and if we were actually friends for more then a year i'd let u borrow it damn wut kinda friends u got j/k

but yea u goota be careful with lending ppl money i once let my friend borrow $100 cuz she was short on rent that was 7 months ago and she never paid me back:tdown:

split the $200 up over ur friends or ask one of her girlfriends usually they can sympathize (sp?) as long as ur doin something nice for ur girl of course make sure she can keep a secret
