So I thought I should start an OC caravan to this when I saw the I.E. thread. We will be meeting at Dennys off Alicia pkwy and making our way down to Temecula for the bbq & gtg. This sounds like a lot of fun, so try to make it out. :)

might i propose an idea. instead of taking the toll road, how about taking ortega? we don't have to go fast but it would be fun, and i've never driven my golf through there. plus it's free. just a thought

ortega is a bad idea waiting to happen...

first off, it's only one lane in each direction....second, it's dangerous, third, though the distance is probably less, it will take longer.

the potential for something bad happening is great...not to mention that a single lane road wherein you will encounter slower traffic and need/want to pass them defeats the purpose of a caravan.

logistically, it's a bad idea.

i will probably be there, but def not in that caravan.

The 74 is a death trap, I won't even go up there solo, to many crazy bikers and inexperianced people on a winding narrow two lane road. A caravan is just asking for trouble

Ortega is better in a small group.

The toll road is a longer cruise, better scenery, and a better chance to see more cars on the cruise...

Ortega is only really dangerous at night, when its empty and the temptation to drive fast is there.

unfortunately, as I've been reading on the freeway bulletin lightboards, the 74 is to be closed for widening (finally?) through feb.

The troll road does seem to be the logical choice...besides, the toll road is MUCH more heavily traveled, and as such, we will be able to catch the eye of many more motorists, which is kindof the point when you're in a group of 10 or more pimped out euros!

damn it!!!!!! i'm out, i can't make it no one will cover for me at work and despite telling them i couldn't work on saturday they scheduled me anyway.

i'm getting sick of them not asking to schedule me when i ask for it off. any that's beside the point. have a lot of fun take pictures!!!
