i love NASCAR....in the same way that i love professional wrestling. it's entertaining, fun, filled with lots of action, stuff blowing up, great characters and awesome soap-opera style stories.

but anyone who believes NASCAR is "real" is sadly mistaken....not to say that the guys aren't great drivers, etc...they are. but the stories, winners and loosers are shaped directly by the great NASCAR gods who decide who should win (won't get busted for cheating).

looks like a big aerodynamics change, I dont like NASCAR, the only race I watch is when they do a road course

Oh you mean when that teams that can afford it put in substitute drivers.

It does get crazy on the road courses in those cars it's way more fun to watch than any oval.

If it's ugly, then yes. Take this car for example:

Toyota Camry

So a Camry, thats built----> in America, is rice? You people have some really warped ideas. I think most of you dont even know what the term really even means. Its somehow evolved into this definition:

"anything thats not on my car and everything that my car is, isnt"

Like the have and have nots. I expect this from a couple BMW drivers really.

That stupid point system reminds of the travesty that is the BCS.
Just let the guy who wins the most races be the champion.
No ifs, ands, or buts.

its a liberal racing series. Dont reward those who succeed, no lets punish them. Instead, reward those who tried because they need our help! Yeah, lame.

anyone watch daytona this weekend? montoya did terrible and the best toyota car finishied in 23rd i think it was

i spent 6 years working in nascar everything from late model modified to bomber stock out at cajon speedway to a open wheel mod team that ran all throughout the southwest ...i got tired of watching others wreck what i fixed - this new car to me is a joke i guess we will see what happens at the bristol race when these cars debut

It was a boring race for the first 400 miles. Just riding around til the last 50 laps. Great finish but id hardly say it deserves "the greatest race" title.

Hmm, seems to me they are updating the aero package and did some safety changes inside. Dont see how that turns it into a joke? They look more like Australian V8 Supercars which, are more like real stockcars than these tube frame, fake bodied cars they currently run around in a circle.

hooray for circles... sorry i'm not much of a nascar fan. i do like watching F1 and some of the other road races (the Long Beach Grand Prix for example)

sorry for my language. i was really pissed off because of the way SPEED caters to nascar.. One hour a week for DTM and the bastards even cut into it to show a live broadcast of a nascar press conference... to show the new car, and introduce a couple of new drivers.. i was mad, but i've cooled off a bit since then.

The WRC has the real race car drivers. If you want to see some of the best drivers all around the world watch them.

Dont get me wrong ALMS is awsome and i could watch it all day long but but i dont think those drivers could handle the different road conditions all in one race. Snow, Ice, Gravel, Tarmac, Dirt, etc..........

You think Jeff Gordon could run 140mph down a fire road with a 200 foot clif on his left and a wall of granite on his right.?
