Hey my buddy got car jacked at gun point last week and I just wanted to throw it out there in case anyone happens to see the car around. He was in Diamond bar when it happened. The only sorta funny thing about this is the guy that car jacked him had to ask him where the ignition was since he could not find it on the steering column.

stories like this are why I want to purchase a handgun.

for protection of course, not car jacking.

Thanks for posting it in SocalEuro for me Steve, didn't think about it. Hopefully the word gets out there and they'll find the guys who took it. Only slept two hours last night...my friend called me at 11:30pm and I wasn't able to sleep from then until my 7am class. I've been having a headache since then that won't go away too...

If he all ready has a gun on you, little hard to pull yours and get a shot off before he shoots you.........................

They will probably find it in a couple days with an empty tank of gas, unharmed.

I just got a call from Bank of America's fraud investigation. The thieves filled up in West Covina and billed a bunch of other stuff to my card also. Luckily I won't be responsible for those charges. So if you're out in West Covina, please be on the look out for me...

I am assuming you car does not have OnStar? I was thinking of this because OnStar can trace your vehicle via GPS.

It does have OnStar, but it was cancelled after my free year of subscription in 2003...it's not worth the money. Kind of wish I had LoJack though...

hmmm, I kind of like having onstar. I have the "Safe and sound" pkg and it tracks the car, serves as cell phone if mine is out of range, automatically notifies emergency services in case of airbag deployment etc...

even if you cancelled the Onstar service, they should still be able to ping the GPS unit. they may charge you to pull it up but they should still be able to do it.
