VW: need a radio code -____- Help

Hey guys,

I'm in need of a radio code for a single din monsoon head unit. Anyone know of a place that I can call up and they'll just give me the code? I've called the local ones here and they want me to take the car in and charge me $20 -___-

If anyone here can get it for me, I have my vin along with the ID # of the hu I can PM you.

Haha, that site is tight or at least it use to be. Some of the cameras aren't working :mad: It's fun watching the traffic in Mexico City :cool:

Call around every dealer you can (even if they are 24038740982 miles away) eventually you will find a cool one who will tell it to you over the phone. Thats the best, cheapest way!

Thanks for the tip. I went over to Miramar VW and they gave me the code free but it didn't work... I'll try calling another place to see if they give me the same one.

You don't need the vin from the car it came from right? You can just use your own because this head unit didn't come from my car. :confused:

Haha, thanks. Just got another code from a dude on the tex that works at vw. I'm at work so I'll try it when I get a chance. It's different from the one that was given to me at vw.

Usually you do need the vin from the original, but there are ways around it I suppose. Aka yours got stolen and you went to a junkyard to get the one you "have now." things like that.

Yeah, the codes are so easy to acquire. I've seen programs on Ebay that list a bunch of codes for vw's, audi's, and merc's.
