Budget project, I see! :) Good to see you're on your way.

I could be wrong, but that Tial looks like a knock off...not a legit Tial.

I don't care too much for that tial either. I only really wanted the manifold but
" look at all the extras" so.... i figure why not? i could probably pawn off the rest.

Nah, not knocking you. I bought most of my stuff used, as well.

I'll buy that wastegate extension and dumptube off you right now, as a matter of fact. Haha.

hahaha. no prob! emotions still intact. lol that's one of the reasons i bought this as a whole, certain peices just makes it easier to build up from. i'll check it out though. will let you know if i do decide to sell it. you can buy that knock off wastegate though:D :D :D

just picked up everything last nite from this guy; camil in north hollywood. the wastegate
is actually a turbonetics "racegate" flippin' sweet!!!!

ohh. and also convinced him to check us out and now he's a member! hahaha..
spreadin the word!

so, seems like i ended up with an ATP 20v manifold w/ turbonetics race gate and open dump tube all in one. hmmmm.....just missing a turbo.

what is a good externally wastegated turbo? would much rather have ball bearing but
also looking at journal bearings as well...there's just soo many out there and it's so hard to choose.
i'm going nuts on vortex. i am the new "forced induction forum whore!" lol

What are your goals? Leaving the motor stock?

What are your goals? Leaving the motor stock?

for a short while only. i know a shop here in the OC. that has a guy that did a full port and polish on another 1.8t before. that will be next as well as forged pistons, valve job, etc.... but that's in a couple of months after everything breaks in.

i gotta decide on a turbo soon as the roll cage will be going in in a week. aahhh!!!!
everything is moving soo fast.

are you talking about the greddy front mount?

calistyle

Ok! Gotta couple of parts in bound:

--Turbonetics T3/T4 50 trim/ .63 ar./ stage 3 wheel.

--ATP 3' down pipes+ race pipe.

--ATP feed/ return lines/ fittings/ all gaskets.

Other things to come: Genesis 550cc injectors/ 255 lph fuel pump/ high flow 20V fuel rail.

Next upgrades: USRT/ HKK- intake manifold/ man. boost cont.

*Then i think I'll be ready for install+ APR BT program upgrade..........really soon!:tup2:

The stock fuel rail is good until...well, no one has maxed it out.

Don't go manual, electronic is more, but way, way better.

APR BT? They don't sell the program seperately...you have to pick up the entire kit.

Looks like you're on your way.

hmm...yeah i'm sure the stock fuel rail is more than able to handle the flow, but
why stay stock if i can improve on it.:p and the elec. boost controller, what type whould you suggest? i know greddy makes one and i could probably get it from my contact there
for cheap. I'm pretty sure that for current APR customers running thier program already,
all they have to do is download a new program. i think eurocode does that....i think i read that somewhere.

and thanks!

and on yeah.......autopower rollcage, in bound in about 1-2 weeks.
it's been a week already but it'll be worth it.

I'm running the profec b spec II—it's pretty dialed. If you got a hook up, can you get me a new diaphragm for a type rs blow off? I can't believe they're like $80.

I'm 95% sure that APR won't give out their BT program without purchasing the kit. The software is what sets their kit apart from other company's...I could be wrong, though. It's happened once before. ;)

I'll let you know once I get back to work on Monday about the diaphragm.

i'll be happy just to get past 300 whp. i'll have the internals done soon after to push more.

Have you checked into the software? Unless you're willing to fool around with lemmiwinks, I'd wait on the injectors and match them up with whatever software you're going with. Not completely necessary, but it'll make the car run better out-of-the-garage.

Can you enlighten me on why you cose that turbo? T3/T4 50 trim/ .63 ar./ stage 3 wheel. Not really sure what all the numbers mean. like why 50 trim and .63? s it to fit engine? or is it how it hooks up to manifold or downpipe?
