yea thats some news aint it? anyways its for farmers insurance as a car agent lol. anyways anyone have any tips or pointers since this is technically my very first job interview? o yea the lady said that i dont have to bring anything with me except a pen lol ...so should i really not bring anything? like a resume(even tho they already got mine off monster?) o yea should i go in the cliche white button up and black slacks(can u seriusly picture me suited up like that?@#$!) or should i go with some biege khakis? long sleeve or short sleeve?

Honestly, bring 2 copies of your resume in a hard folder if you can... Looks professional so you look ready. They can see that you look ready to go... Also, plan out a brief way to describe your desire and ability to work with customers well. Short, direct but not with an attitude answers, and smile and enjoy it. If you cant laugh at something, your too serious...

k im back!...so anyways the hiring manager pretty much wanted to hire me on teh spot lol!!! but we went ahead of the interview and all that stuff and anyways its for an insurance seller(life,auto,home etc. etc..) but yea if i decide to take it id have to go to the 'university of farmers insurance" lol so i can get a liscense to sell insurance(duh!) but id have to pay to take all the necessary class's to be certified. which pretty much means i dont think i want this job cuz alth my MGIB will cover all the costs i might as well stay in school now and just collect the benifits that way. but it would garuntee me a job as soon as i was finished which is a big plus. and they pretty much work on commision..biiig commision!! like if i were to sell at least 1 type a day id be makin close to 4k amonth which reallllly sounds niice but its alot of cold calling...walking up to random ppl...stuff like that. so i donno if thats really wat i want a career in since this wouldnt be a short time job. but they were showing me the statics chart thingy and after 2years id be in the 200k range which is like beamer status to the fullest....so anyways they gotta run a credit check (since id be playing with ppl's money) and like it would start me off with my own small business. i dono they guy threw alot of information at me at once. but at the end of the interview he said that from his point id get the job. but its not up to him its up to the HIGHER UP ppl at farmers. and so yea....stay tuned

btw...they dont drug test so my non smoking for the last 2.5weeks was my lint for the year...and its funny cuz i havent been feeinin the chronic at all!! which brings me to another point that i might just quit...hmmm

Or there is a high attrition rate. Ask them what is leading cause for turnover for the position to which you are interviewing. If you plan to stay in school and pursue a career in insurance, might I suggest completing a Business Degree and obtaining a NASD Series 7 and 6 license.

well the whole job position is for a 'small business' starter which i have no clue about business but he said that since his famers insurance buildin i guess they got lil depots everywehre was making alot of money so he needed to hire more ppl to keep up with it.

as for the whole growing up part...dude trust me if i could land a decent job and still smoke I WOULD... i love smoking its a pasttime..brings ppl 2gether now ill prob stop smoking now just cuz ive already gone like almost 3weeks without it but im not saying if im ever at a nice 'gathering' i wont take a hit of the chronic cuz i might but as of rite now yea its not my top priority (plus im on limited funds so its not like i could afford it currently with gas prices almost 3$$) but i dono like rite now im goin to school for aerospace engineering cuz i love all that space shit and ive always wanted to fly. but i do know after being suited up like that IM FUCKIN AWESOME ALL MACK DADDY'D DOWN...LIKE HOW I USE TO SPORT THE CLASS A'S HAHA...anyways tho i need a job soon cuz carpayments/insurance is commin up. my aunt is some kind of manager for robertshaw incorporated sp? and she said i should jsut get a forklift licnse and do taht for awhile but i really dont want to cuz yea school is fuckin awesome(but its only cuz ive been outta that scene for awhile) plus its like that dude said on dazed & confused.."the older i get...the girls stay the same age" ahhahaha fuckin UPS i wish would call me aleady cuz id def do taht

UPDATE**** so famers called back and said theywant me...anyways i asked more questions about how the whole process of getting liscesne works and the guy said that i would have to cover the actual cost of certification but they have financial aid + they would cover EVERYTHING else...
