I was on the yahoo front page and noticed the oscars headlines. I clicked on winners and was just browsing through it when I see "Borat" nominated for best adapted screenplay. Im thinking WTF? I mean Borat was a funny movie, but Oscar worthy? i don't even care too much about all that hollywood stuff in fact I hate actors and actresses because they make too much money for their own good. but still... just i dunno.. just goes to show were all going to hell...

I thought this was going to be a post complaining about the oscar-related traffic, and I was going to come in here to mention that I found a back way around it all, and was quite happy.

But, since it was talking about the oscars, something I know almost nothing about, this is just a free post for me ;)

Not quite the same subject, but in the same catagory . . . there is this documentory called "This Film is Not Yet Rated" it has Kevin Smith and a few other directors in it. It talks about the film industry and who rates the MPAA grades on movies. It is really interesting on how secretive it really is. It talks about how rediculious they are, and becuase there is no one to regulate them, it is a bunch of crap. The panel is made up of a bunch of random people, and by random I mean specific. They have to sign these contracts that prevent them from discussing their movies and what not. Pretty descent for a documentory, and Kevin smith keeps it real. It's no "The Inconvenient Truth" but hey, its still pretty good.

Borat was way too funny... more than a laugh per minute.

Best adapted screen play, doesn't necessarily mean the movie was high quality or even good. It's just how good a movie stuck with the script, seeing as how it did in fact stick somewhat to the script, and the majority of the people were not scripted it came out pretty close. So it had a chance.
It's like saying a Geo has a chance at a car show.

I guess that makes sense. But, supposedly the Oscars were about prestige and whatnot.

And speaking about traffic, I HATE NASCAR!!! Took me like 2 hours to grab some KFC down the street! I totally forgot about it or else I wouldn't have gone out. Heritage in Fontana was a disaster, police ever other block.
