The dogbone itself has been said to improve wheel hop pretty well. For 50 bucks, it's well worth it to try it out.
The rest of the mounts are probably worth it too, but I can't tell yo from experience. I'm planning on buying the dogbone mount sometime soon myself.

I'll tell you the pros of having a dogbone:
smoother shifting
more accurate shifting that complements heel/toe
A more predictable clutch engagement point
Reduces wheel hop (doesn't eliminate it)
Negatives:
Shakes the crap out of the car during cold starts
Shakes the crap out of the steering wheel when idling/not moving
Shakes the living crap out of the steering wheel when ac is on
Shakes the living crap out of the car when taking off in 1st gear (especially uphill) The same can be said for reverse.
Amplifies the sound of your engine in the cabin(especially wot acceleration)
pro OR con
if your engine is out of tune, or misfiring or whatever, with a dogbone you can tell much easier than without.

I have this... It shakes a bit, but its nothing thats gonna drive you insane, and for the difference you feel, I can take the shaking as if you're lowered, you're having a rougher ride anyways

Agreed, the parts4vws set up might be more civil as i have the vf setup, but this is one of those compromise mods. You sacrifice A to get B. That being said, I wouldn't consider putting the stock dogbone mount on ever again despite my teeth rattling.
But for a near stock 2.0 jetta...a mod like this would be a little questionable.

scott your engine does not make enough power to worry about one of those ...put the money into a short throw if you havent already or start thinking about what you are going to do when gas reaches close to 5 bucks a gallon this summer and the performance parts that are on your car OR that you wanted to buy you can no longer afford - just be glad your not running on race gas

you can still make good HP with that 2.0L dont get me wrong - you do a turbo/supercharger/ or nitrous set up and you might want to consider that dogbone
