I have a couple projects in mind.

First, I want to install a resister to fool the fuel temp sensor, like in this post:
http://forums.tdiclub.com/showpost.php?p=1458599&postcount=1

It looks like it shouldn't take long, for someone who can handle a soldering iron and not melt anything that shouldn't be melted.

Secondly, my starter is making a lot of noise and I think it should be replaced before it gets worse.

Two different projects, so I probably need two different people with different skills.

why would you want to fool the temp sender?

and the starter motor shouldn't be too hard. i haven't done one on a VW but when i did my keep it was two bolts and a few wires. if you're ever in the OC you can burrow my bently manual to help you out. of if i remember i can scan them, and if you want email them. (i can't post them here because of copyright infringement) let me know

I have a Bentley. I have a set of instructions from tdiclub. I'm still interested in finding someone with more experience than I have... which is none.
