I have 4 Hard drives, 350 gig a piece and their all maxed out. Anyone got a hook up on a 2T or even a 1T cube or even SATA HD's? I need a few more. Someones gotta work in the industry. I think I am going to have to start fire wiring a few externals.

I gotta ask ... what are you doing that you're maxing out on 1.4TB worth of drive space?

Same reason I have had my internet shut down 3 times due to bandwidth violations (aka..using too much of it). I have a lot of "stuff" (not porn).

run a PCI SATA card (they are cheap like 30-40 bucks) and each can control two sata drives. or switch to a new mother board, my board will run 8 hard drive OR 8 CD roms or any combination of the 2. i have 1 IDE 250 1 SATA 250 and a firewire 60.

You're pushing the limits on what desktop hardware can or should handle.

The only thing I could suggest is building a raid and putting it in a fileserver. The firewire drives are cool and all but just not as cost effective or reliable. At least with a raid you can have a disk go bad and not lose your data.

we run SATA raid boxes here at office, and they are plenty fast for your needs im sure, unless your hosting that stuff out in a production capacity

if you need some parts, im sure there's someone we know that works next to Fusion Cafe that can help

I would look into building a RAID box also

That's not NAS, just firewire.

This is what I'm working on right now:
