Well I figured since all of have been getting new tools it is time to show what we have been doing with our new toys. I will start with some garage cabinets I built from scratch. Haven't painted them yet but maybe in the next few weeks I will get around to that. The cabinets span 120" and 36" tall and 26" deep. Here are some pics from the build.

Nice!
All I've had time to do so far is hang some moulding and a door.
I did something else but I can't remember what it was. Its all been trim work. I haven't had any time to do any finish carpentry.

I think my next project will be some crown moulding and doing some wains coating in the bathroom with a chair rail. Loving the Hitachi finish nailer btw.
hmm guns are tools, but they don't build... unless you call making a watermellon explode and disperse its seeds to grow building ;)

Thanks I love the Kreg jig for things like this. If I was doing finish pieces fro inside the house I would of used a rail and style but for garage purposes it works.

Nice bookshelves Alan. Looks like they match the futon really nicely.
Congrats on the wood work. Great job. I will have to give it a go sometime, but untill then, i will just stick to wrenches, sockets and the like

Wow great job on the kitchen remodel. I love the butcher block island. You definitely have some mad building skills. Also the wood you made the guitar out is gorgeous. Going to look spectacular once you clear it.

Thanks man :-D
The maple for my guitar was a freebie. About every 6 months one of main suppliers bundles up all the wood that has fallen out of the racks, piles ect and makes a screaming deal. Never know what your going to get, but that piece was a gem!
The system in my GTI.
