damn that thing lifted like those speed boats
**off topic...is it true that lamburginis are so aerodynamic that if you were to put wings on them they could fly like that benz above??? i heard that once and always wondered

Yes, that's absolutley true. Ask any lambo owner.

Take some dog poop put it in a plastic bag and swing around and that's pretty much what'd look like once that thing got air borne.

I dunno 'bout lamburginis, but Lamborghinis are pretty damn fast.
if you put wings on something, and you get it going fast enough, yeah, it'll fly.
how well it will fly, is another matter altogether.
I'm sure as long as you got the CG right, you could have liftoff and perhaps even a successful touchdown. (one that you walk away from)
of course, Lambos are pretty much as wedge-shaped as you can get, which results in a lot of downforce...good for driving, bad for flying. As long as the wings are large enough to produce adequate lift to cancel out the downforce created by the cars shape, AND exceeds the mass of the car itself, you can fly.
but I think the myth you're referring to is that car "X" produces enough downforce at top speed that it can drive upside down.
this is true, of F1 chassis I belive. anyone?

that's exactly what I was thinking of while writing that.
that and my completely NERD hobby of building/flying R/C Sailplanes...

are you a Gull out of TP? I've never flown down there, it's on my list though...
lately i've been taking a liking to small hand-launch planes, great for finding little tiny ridge lift zones from bushes, shipping containers, and buildings
scale is my next step...maybe a Discus...4m should do it...

Oh great,
I do fly R/C planes as well.Electric and Sailplanes. TP is a great great spot to fly but has been a pain lately because of the para/-glider port which is right next to it. So you always have people crossing your air space.
I would like to go and take out my sail plain again. Where do you go and fly?
