This no longer HAS to go, but it would help my finances if it were gone.
So what the hell is a 88/96 FZR 400/600 alphabet soup? It's a 600cc engine (this one happens to be out of 1996) and electronics and most of it's parts swapped onto the lighter-weight aluminum 400cc frame (this frame happens to be an 1988). The coolest part is that the VIN number is on the frame, and is a 400cc VIN number... know what that means? MUCH MUCH cheaper insurance.
Engine swap was done with all DMV paperwork. Kerker pipe. Fox rear shock. Stainless steel brake lines. It has newer tires on it. It has almost new NGK Iridium plugs I put in it. I put a new (yes, new not used!) R6 VR on it. It's got TONS of parts included with it, a rear swing-arm stand, and a passenger-seat cowl that needs to be touched up (but in ok shape). Odometer shows 36k miles, PO estiamted 5000 on the 600 engine. I've rode it about 2000 miles, so I guess my estimate is 7000.
A friend recommended I have the carbs synchronized in the next 3000 miles (preventive) , but it still rides alright and pulls strong.
This thing starts easy EVERY TIME! I'm never cranking for more than 5 seconds. Battery was replaced by PO right before I bought it. I'll throw in the maintainer/charger.
My asking price is $2300, I'm kind of firm right now.
I'll consider trades. Especially for V8 Mustangs, Ford pickups/SUVs, Volvos, 90s and earlier Mercedes, 90s and earlier BMWs... others???
Tell me what you've got and I'll see if it works for me.
I'm located in Riverside, CA. I will not ship the bike, you must pick it up or have somebody pick it up. If you want to ride it have my asking amount with you, your helmet, and your M1 license.
If I get my asking price I'll throw in my helmet if you want it. If you haggle me down, don't expect it.
I've installed triangular flushmounts on the fronts and installed mini plate-mount signals on the rear since these pictures.
