ok. so yesterday, Yoshi and myself were coming down from Frisco, long ass day, and cant wait to get home... I pull over to a gas station go get some gas... Nothing wrong there. Just a rutine gas stop. After i fill up, I try to gun in bacn onto the freeway, and the car is LAAAGGING!!!! I mean i have driven Geo Metros that are faster than my car now. Sputtering, dramatic loss of power, but DAMN did i get great gas milage. Does ANYONE have a clue to what this could be?? I VAG-ed my car, and it said i had some leak in the emissions??? So i have no clue WTF is going on? I missed work cause I dont want to mess my car up more than it already is. So if ANYONE has a clue on what to do or how to do it, please let me know!!!! :( The Golf is sick!! HELP!

boris... those codes don't come up in my repair manuals... i need the vw fault code. not a Pxxxx code. did you overfill your tank? it's possible to overfill and over saturate the carbon canister.

Have you checked to see if your gas cap is on tightly?

Sounds silly, but I've heard that people who either leave their gas cap off or don't close it tightly have had problems.

ok its the MAF sensor... Just disconnected it, and took it for a spin around the block up and down some big hills.... Works better than before. Thanks everyone for your input! :D
