Just had this kit installed to mix things up, and it's turned out great. The ride height is almost exactly the same as I had with coilovers.
Stock:
27.0" Front
26.8" Rear
Vogtland Coilovers:
25.5" Front
25.5" Rear
Vogtland/FSD:
25.5" Front
25.6" Rear
Keep in mind that I've got a 2.0T Tip which is a bit heavier. For you 6-speed folks, you'll probably see a 25.6" Front height which will look great.
The ride on this combination is noticeably more comfortable than the coilovers which is nice. It's perfect for daily driving.
Here's a before shot with coilovers.

Here's an after shot with Vogtland/KONI FSD spring/shock combination

For those sitting on the fence looking for some lowering springs, these are a great option!

Hmm... how low can one go with springs & FSD's? I understood that there was an implied limit.
Also, is there a similar combination for MK4 VW's?
Looks rockin, though. And the LM's are sexy in a car porn kind of way.

Feels noticeably softer than the coilovers, but still much less roll and lean than stock. It's a very good kit, great for a daily driver.

There is a limit, you want the car to stay off the bumpstop. I'm running a slightly shorter bumpstop with these, and it's working great.

We can definitely put something together use the FSD's and the Vogtland springs for the MkIV. I wouldn't recommend the Race springs however, just the Vogtland Sport.

Very nice looking! ....car that is.
If it's a more comfortable ride than the coilovers, am I guessing your coilovers didn't have progressive springs?
That's one thing I keep researching for my Avant. I want to do coilovers next year, but I wan't progressive springs because of the daily drive.

Sweet. Been thinking of replacing my H&R's with some Vogtlands.
Mike, would you guys be able to swap them out for me?

My coilovers were plenty comfortable, I have absolutely no complaints about them. This was done merely for testing, not as a permanent replacement.
I still think the Vogtland coilovers are an excellent fit on the B6/B7 Audis.

Hey Mike was this already installed when you did my suspension swap? I was totally ooogling over your car while I was waiting. Anyways, big thanks to you for doing a superb job on the swap and the rest of the parts that probably would have sat in my garage for another two years. And oh yeah thank Walter also.:tup2:
