I just gave a call to Miramar Audi and I said that I'd like to have an oil change so that I'll bring my own oil. So what I'll need basically is just the change and the oil filter.

The guy quoted me $95.00 for that. WTF!?!

Then I gave a call to Hoehn Audi at Carlsbad and the quote for the same thing was $50.00.

Go su*k my a** Miramar Service! :bs:

Vittu!

Go to Hoehn. There is no reason an oil filter and some labor should be 95 bucks! F Miramar!

i ax'ed them (miramar) if they could change out the bulb out of my lower console, cuz the lower center console light went out. $85!!! i ax'ed them what they had to do. they needed to pulled the entire center console out to get to the bulb. yeah right and monkeys might fly out of my butt. i pulled the fan control knob out, pulled the little light out that cost 95 cents, i was done with it, under 5mins. f#ck'in $85 + labor...f#$k dat!!! good think i called in. waste of gas if i went there.

Hey Luke,

It's covered by the warranty but only on scheduled maintenance (5k, 15k, 25k etc.). I don't wanna drive 10k with same oil so oil change at 10k, 20k etc. you have to pay yourself.

No VW @Hoehn. I just bought a new GTI for my wife and I also would like to get it serviced somewhere else than Miramar...

You know I wasn't going to bad mouth on this site but I just had my car in for the 30K Service and when I went to pick it up they had dented the hood, so I left the car to be fixed after "I" caught the dent and they gave me a loner, I had them pop out the dent and touch up the spot (dent was small like a tool had dropped on it). So three days go by and no call, so on the fourth day "I" call and they tell me the car is done. I drive up afterwork to find my car covered with overspray. Left the car again and next day all the overspray was gone except for the bumpers and the trunk which somehow they missed. Finally on the third day the car was done, again no call saying come and get it or apologizes.

Point of the story being you can't trust any dealers and I just feel that at any level Audi, Mercedes, Honda, Kia, Porsche Service Level sucks. No phone calls, no free service vouchers, no key chain, nada.... in the end I was actually dealing with the Sales Manager since she seems to be the only one over there that has her sh*t together.

Not sure where to bring the car at this point....

Yeah they are all screwed up in some way or another. I found the Hoehn was a little more compitent than the others. I can't say they are the best, but 6,000 times better than Miramar.

When I had my '99 Passat, I used to take it into Miramar, but they never fixed the squeaks and rattles and one time they forgot to put in the synthetic oil that I brought (I placed the oil on the front passenger seat) and used dino instead.

I then heard on this and other forums about City VW and I took my Passat there for a while and they fixed all the squeaks, rattles and the tech (Tony) also installed an aftermarket diverter valve for me during one of the service visits.

I eventually turned in my Passat (lease was over) for an '03 Audi A4 Quattro at Hoehn and the service at Hoehn has been very pleasant.

I actually had the same thing happen to me. I had my 01 A4 in for service, I provided the Synthetic and placed it on the passanger seat. They put use customers Synthetic on the work order sheet, circled it and highlighted it. Still they did not use it, and when I threatned to call Audi about it they opened the shop and re-did the oil change. They know how much it hurts when we call AOA. So keep calling, f*ck them bastards, they deserve to loose their ability to sell and service Audi's and VW's.

YES I am bitter!

So I got my oil change done yesterday at Hoehn and I was really amazed by the courtesy of the service. They gave me a free loaner and the car was ready in 1.5h. In addition to the oil change they had also washed the car for a free of charge :)

So long to Miramar service!

you're lucky they normally charge $10.00 for the loaner

Satan4

It all depends, for standard service they do not provide a loaner. But if you are paying for it, they will usually give you the loaner free.

OK we ARE talking about an OIL CHANGE right??? Take it to any quick lube place... If you bring your own oil and filter it's like $15. As a matter of fact that is exactly what I paid a week and a half ago....
