View Full Version : VDO sux. AutoMeter rules all!

I got tired of having a problem trying to read my guages and then sometimes they dont work. So I ordered up a set of new guages. H2O temp, oil pressure, oil temp, volts and A/F meter. The H2O temp guage didnt ship yet, be here next week but I got these together so far.

how old were the VDO ones?

some were maybe a couple years, some as old as the car. Instead of replacing each item, I just got new ones and upgraded.

that's why i was asking. I hink they served a good life span. I have always liked both VDO having the old school look, AUTOMETER looks more modern (and sometimes more rice) IMO.

I have the VDO Vision series in my car and they work great. Also you can't beat the price either.

i have 4 VDO gauges and i love them. they work great. i'm with the guy above, the autometers look a little too ricey for my taste.

Hmm, CF guages in a race car, is ricey? But 4 VDO guages in a street car... is not ricey? M-kaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Congrats! I'm not talking crap but I think it's funny how it says Ultra-lite like your gonna gain HP by having them on your car. haha

I also am a fan of VDO's clean subtle look but again it's your car so congrats!
