Found this link on another site. I know a bunch of us are getting into the firearms scene. Why not join the NRA and support them in keeping out stuff legal.

They offer a 1 year free membership to active duty personel.

i'm a card carrying member as well. this is a sweet deal. even though all my guns are in south carolina. i think i should buy a desert eagle, just so i have a reason to be in the NRA
