unless the trade you speak of involves me getting rid of the tank and you trading me cash for it...nope.

i'm moving so i'm trying to get rid of things, not acquire things.

ran out of words for "chew"....what can i say? hehehe.

someone give these fishes a good home...they're fun and interesting to watch.

plus, they can eat a large, whole goldfish in under 2 seconds.

i'll break down what a similar setup would cost (not taking into account the time and money spent raising the fish to this age)

a similar tank setup brand new would run well over $1000

I paid considerably less than that from an SCE member (slightly used).

with the changes and enhancements i've made to the setup and the great specimen of fish, i'd say $325 is a good offer as long as they are going to a good home.

Right here man, up to my ears in fish now that I started my African Rift Lake tank, keeping busy with my 10 Gal planted "Takashi Amano" style tank.

Mario, would it be possible for me to come check out the setup and fish? I'm kinda tight on room right now, and I'm not entirely sure how stoked my room mates (read: Parents) would feel about another tank...especially one that's full of man eaters, HOWEVER, we do have a 3 car garage, and my Rabbit takes up very little space in its spot, so, I might be able to work soemthing out. Anyways, PM me.

I'd be willing to take this setup off your hands soon if we worked out some sort of payment plan...but if you're looking for the lump sum, I'd have to wait a while :(

My grandparents had a neighbor who kept 3 Piranha, and ever since I saw those, I've been interested in keeping some myself, but alas, you can't exactly pick up a few at your LFS.

*edit* I've spoken with the roommates and suggested the idea of an elegant 55 gal for our Billiards room, which they loved, sooooo get back to me mang!

piranhas are pretty easy to take care of if you want to feed them regular fish....(the kind you get at the store to cook)

if you want to feed them live fish, it's a little more complicated:

if you pick up some feeder fish at the pet store, odds are they are sick. so you have to have a hospital tank or feeder tank where you keep the fish for a few weeks to nurse them back to health (don't wanna feed the piranhas sick fish)...

i've been using just a little 10 or so gallon tank that is just bare-bones.

the piranhas are probably the most fun fish to have...they haver personality and don't just sit there and stare back at you...they like to fight and play around with eachother...and they are FAST swimmers :)

Thanks again Mario, she polished up real nice! So nice, in fact, that I've decided to make the move to saltwater! Going to be a while before it's stocked, but when it is, I'll be sure to send you pics!

oh, and I still have all my appendages, despite my best efforts with those IED's you gave me hahaha

update: Tank is officially SALTwater, I dumped in about 16 cups of salt the other day, and yesterday I added my Live Sand and new AquaC RemoraPro Protein Skimmer.

current status: Waiting until I can actually see through my water.
