Guy at work is going to sell me this for $35. Should I get it or just get a new one? I've never used one before and I'll be using it for hiking and backpacking.

i have a garmin m3 pda with windows interface that works well. i got it for free from work though, so not sure how much they run. also, not too sure about the battery power for hiking. that one might be too basic and confusing.

Garmin is well known in the GPS world. i don't know about that particular model but if you are going to use it for hiking (or if you are going to use any for hiking) make sure you bring extra batteries. beyond that it looks pretty straight forward. ask if he has the owners manual.

Yeah he said he has 2 books for it too. Think I'm gonna get it.
