(Federal Bureau of Automotive Repair). Back in 2002 i was in a fender bender, my audi woundup underneath a 4runner rear bumper...5000 damage to my car and 200 to the Toyota, anyway I had the car repaired at Caliber Collision, and saturday i got this letter saying that Caliber got sued and all these implications are on them blah, blah, blah..so basically the FBAR wants to see my car to see if caliber did a reasonable good job...One thing i am bugged about is that Caliber never replaced any of my suspension parts during the repair( i was looking at the receipts) I know there is something wrong with my front end ever since the accident(wondering if the control arms were fatigued, or whatever) if the FBAR finds something wrong though they are going to re-repair my car, so i hope they do find that there is something wrong with my front suspension...I will let you all know whats up later...

if the lawsuit goes through and your repair company loses then they will be required to either re-repair the car (which if they're getting sued is unlikely) or provide the funds for you to complete the repairs and fix anything they might have screwed up (as long as it can be proven that it wasn't caused from the accident) good luck

I just got off the phone with the FBAR, the lady asked me if my car "felt right" and I told her about my doubts regarding the front suspension, she said that was good enough for her then she told me that the lawsuit is already completed(Caliber is required to re-repair any car free of charge if deemed the workmanship wasnt to standards, etc.) so they told me that I have an appointment on December 15th at Caliber on Miramar road where their own FBAR inspection team will be to inspect my car and deem it necessary to re-repair anything, I was going to ask her after the inspection if I could take the car to somebody else but she said those were the provisions if I didnt want to pay anything.
