alright guys I went to group5 today had them put my boost guage on and now im hoping you guys will tell me how to read it. thanks boys
What model did you get? Usually, negative numbers indicate vacuum and positive numbers equal boost. Does the gauge read in psi or bar?

That depends on the type of Boost Gauge. If it has VAC indication markings on it. Some dont come with VAC indication markings.

You'll read vacuum most of the time. You only see boost when under load.

I got the omori boost guage.. Matches perfact. At idle it reads 20 vac is that about right. I have a 2004 jetta GLI. What boost guage did you go with Lon.

That would be sick if the vents still worked.......... :p

Mine reads 20-22 VAC at idle. I have a 2003 Jetta
That guage reads in psi, so....
If you have a 1bar chip, it should read ~15 lbs. It might peak over that and drop when you get higher in the RPM's. As long as it's not reading 5 lbs at WOT and 3500 rpm's, you're probably okay. ;)

is there anyways to install it to make it where the vent still works??? And how did you block yours off...?
