Hey guys, just wanna say that soon (late july) i'm going to be picking up a glock from my buddie who is currently active in the Army. He wants to get rid of it simply because he said ammo is expensive. I know its kinda early, but can I get schooled on the glock? Thanks.

once you get your license for it, I'll take you to a range and show you everything you need to know.

Well I have shot a gun before... but that was waayyy back when. I'm more interested in maintaining it. Since I never actually owned one.

Glock, dead reliable. Thats about all you need to know, lol. Congrats on the future purchase. Depends on the Caliber how much it costs. My Sig runs me about $13/100rnds, my M1A depends on what I buy but can cost .50-.65 per round.

not much to know really. comes apart easy, cleans easy, shoots easy. Ive never had a problem with mine, even when shooting the range amo at combat shoots. (cheap reloads) even when pumping 31 rounds thru it as fast as I can. ;)
Depends on the size of the amo but thats why I have the .40. Does what I need it to do. I finally got rid of all the subsonic crap I had to but from back in the day.

Back then? I dunno, I remember it was a rifle. It was made outta wood, the trigger was hard as all hell to pull, and it kicked like a mule.

Thanks! Thats just what I wanted to hear! Yea my buddy says about 50cents per round? I dunno. Seems like a great newb gun.

All I know about it is that its a 9mm glock. I seen it before, and looks noice! :) Like i said before seems like the perfect gun for a newb!

.50 for one round of 9mm ammo...your buddy is on something.
you can get 100 rounds for about 13-14 dollars for 9mm.
I picked up some Winchester Whitebox in .40 for $19.99/100 rounds

I switched from WWB to Blazer Brass since its almost a dollar difference per 100/rnds.
