I think it's a great idea. It's highly unlikely it would ever succeed. People have been trying to isolate human phermones for years with no success.

I think an important point (conveniently omitted from the story) is that the military has a number of 'think tanks' who's jobs are to come up with crazy ideas like this and write proposals on them. How do you think they ever came up with the idea for the U.S. Navy's marine mammal program?

It's like every time the news makes a big deal because they've "discovered" that the U.S. has plans to invade Iran or Korea or whoever. News flash asshole, the U.S. has plans to invade everybody...probably even Canada. There are rooms full of people at the Pentagon who's sole purpose is to assess capabilities and develop military operations in countries all over the work, regardless of current political situations.
