Snapped a couple of pics when I got off this morn. Tryin to learn how to use my cheap lil Kodak DX6490 before I drop some cash into a new cam. You guys take some of the sweetest, most creative pics. All my pics come out clear, but the colors are grainy or "noisy". Cam could just be messed up also, kids did a number on it(sand, gum, the works) Any suggestions on taking decent photos are welcomed =) I have no creativity at all when it comes to this subject...Be gentle on the old guy :P

These came out really dark. I tried to do some photo editing, but..Oh well

Yikes!! Messin around with this one

I'm not sure which camera it is that you have. But check to see if you have some manual functions on there. For night photos you need to use a longer exposure to capture the light. To do this correctly you will need to use a tripod and you can skip using the flash if done right. Check your camera and see if there is a "tv" mode (shutter priority). This will allow you to set the exposure time and the camera will set the f/stop for you. If this is above your head let me know and I'll further explain. Also noise is an unfortunate side effect of most point and shoot cameras. Hope this helps a little. Sweet car btw!!!

Are those 19's?

Yes siiir..19x9 rear, 19x8.5..front Thanks for lookin:tup:

OK....I gave it the old college try again. I went into manual mode. Messed around with the settings and took a bunch of pics. I documented each pic and compared em. The cam needs servicing from the kids dropping it, AND there is sand inside of it :( It's having a really hard time auto focusing.

This morn at 4:00am.

All I did was add borders

in this pic below i changed the shutter speed to close faster. The result was a darker pic. I see what you guys are saying now. The longer it stays open, the more natural light is captured

Changed the setting up again.

Sun came up on me. I took a couple with the old setting and the pics were BRIGHT. Too much light was getting in. I dialed this one in after playing around.....

Tripod was used on all pics. I had the iso set at 80 in these pics. Not as grainy in the darker areas. Thanks again for all the help. Now its time to learn apeture
