Wondering if it could be the blower? Any suggestions?
If I turn the fan on barley any air comes out.

Might be the blower. Might be the resistor pack that governs the fan speed at various settings. Check around the cabin air intake for leaves and whatnot clogging the system as well.

Does the fan work at all speeds?
If so, your pollen filter may clogged. If you hear the fan blowing at full speed, but little air volume, an old filter is probably the cause. The pollen filter is in the passenger side footwell near the firewall. Kind of tricky to replace.
If speeds 1-3 or 1-2 don't work at all, it's probably the blower motor resistor. It's located on the driver's side foot panel. Pretty easy to replace.

funny enough, it just started blowing full speed again tonight and now all the rear defrosters finally work again.. what would make it stop working then start working?

now sometimes it works and other times it doesnt. When it doesnt work the defrost button/light doesnt turn on. when its working then the defrost/ac/lights all work.. any thoughts?

Does this have the auto climate control?
If it does, those control heads go bad often and can cause all sorts of weird symptoms.
Expnsive to buy, but it easy to replace. You will also have to have it programmed by the dealer if you don't want the default metric readout.

i dont think its auto. i know that all the non M3's have digital climate control but I have knobs to turn. so i dont know. i will post a pic later if i remember. its been working fine the last 2 weeks though so i think the problem may have self fixed.
thanks for the help everyone.
