Go diesel geek. Nothing is wrong with techtonics but DG has proven themselves not only in their product but also their customer service.

The TT ones are a lot cheaper though. Do you think the DG is worth the $$?

It depends on what year car you have. I had 99 GTI that used a whole new shifter assembly. I had the Neuspeed short shifter and I loved it.

also very much depends on how you want the shift to "feel"

ive heard...because of the amount of reduction....40% with neuspeed....that it can feel a bit "notchy"

the autotech....gives near stock feel with only 20% reduction in throw...but no side to side.

DG has both throw and side to side reduction of 30% and i have a few friends with them that rave over theml

but you also have price. the greater the reduction....the more you can expect to pay.

big range too......autotech is in the $30 range....DG and neuspeed are up to 140-160 ish for DG and 230 for neuspeed.

hope this helps.

If you have an MK4, I reccomend the TT shifter for a sporty feel without a reduction in knob-height. (no comments, please!)
