I used to have the at&t DNS server IPs set manually in router but today my dns queries started timing out like crazy. I set the router to automagically obtain DNS and I got a couple addresses I've never seen before in many many years of DSL use.
I'm assuming some kind of change was made today that finally killed the old DNS servers.

I'm back on just fine... I'm just surprised. I've been using the old ips for a long time.

Uhmm a lot of people have been calling me with internet--and e-mail problems the last week or so---most stem from dsl users where they were on the old DNS numbers which now no longer work---had to switch to the "newer" stuff. Also they changed their port settings for e-mail---which you probably all ready knew that one... Something is going around--had two servers screw up with the same issues this week--different companies---
