I just got the fuckin car and now it goes out on me. Drove home today, somthing wasnt right. I was routinely going to change the plugs at Genesis tonight...driving around Corona when I shifted to 1st... bam! the clutch didnt come back up. It just stayed down. On top of that it started to smoke bad. I'm beyond killing the guy who sold it to me. It was even pre-inspected at Beverly Hills Audi. I'm going to check the Private Party sales laws. I've also left him a message and now waiting for his call. Good thing its Friday or I'd be shit out of luck for work on Monday.
Anyone have any hookups at Audi for this part? It looks like its a leak from either the master or slave. I'm crossing my fingers for a slave. We'll have to drop the tranny now.
Clutch Master (and slave) Cylinder for an 01 b5 (believe its the same for s4 and a4). Please assist!

Haha, I have love for the Pearly S4, but I would never buy a used car (bad previous experiences) unless I personally know the owner and the way he treats the car. The clutch is a wear and tear item so its bound to go bad on any car, but its just the way I look at things. A new car comes with a warranty. If he didn't tell him about something simple like a clutch, imagine what other more serious stuff he didn't tell Tony. But that S4 pulls like a bat outta hell, thats for sure. Like i said GL with that Tony, i'm sure Rezie can pull something out

Getting a part for that car over the weekend is going to be hard. On Monday Morning, give Mike at Pure Motorsports a call, he can usually get you any B5 Part that you may need at good prices and he can usually get the part to you pretty fast---same day if not the next morning..

OK the slave and master cylinders were fixed by Genesis crew...amazing thing about it and I thought only a houdini could do it; they replaced both parts without even taking out the TRANNY! yes, it was done. Just a detachment of the axel. Dont get me wrong it was a BITCH! to put the slave back in but Harris and I made that ish fit, SON!
But alas, all good things must come to a complete HALT! the clutch is bad now. The second season of "BREAKING TONY" has begun. Stay tuned, and find out how poor this guy can really get. Top o ramen for a st8 month? eating at home and taking lunches to work? we'll see... I think I'll just rate it by how many pounds I lose to scrounge the money.

So now the tranny is out. Harris and I got it out last week...he did most of it. I did slice my head open a little bit. Nothing like battle scars from working on your pride and joy. When Harris took a break after getting the Tranny out I took it upon myself...(be it that I was anxious to see the damage) to take the clutch out. Too bad I didnt take pictures but it had more rust, burnt metal spots and ish than andies face and teds lungs combined. son! The flywheel was more burnt out than Jesse's amateur photoshop attempts. I almost got inhilation fo reezy. So now the new RS4 clutch is at Genesis (thanks Soaken for driving to Temecula) and I'll be picking up a used resurfaced OEM S4 flywheel in SAN DOGG tomorrow. Almost back to normal. I'll try to take some pics of the install and the gutting of the pre-cats. :tup2:

Make sure you preset the SAC mechanism on the pressure plate before installing it!
Show should be familiar, but just in case they aren't.

So after I was rudely interrupted by Andies face attempting to win an OSCAR nomination for best melodramatic attempt as a blowhard. I picked up the clutch after work today. Took the 405 till it became the 5 south. I gotta tell you..what a nice drive! passed up the HOME OF ACU5 (Assault Craft Unti 5) and Pendleton where all the jarhead booters are at. Very nice!
Picked up the clutch from Jay. Let me tell you, what a guy. He let me slide for half the price till next week. Much props to that guy. Clutch was done at Southlin Clutch in National City. Took 45 minutes to do and he even resurfaced the edge part on the outside. Just in case you dont know, no one does that. These guyz are legit! Even quoted me at $100 and only charged $85.
Hopefully tomorrow will be the day.

A little bit louder fluffy...i need to hear your big boy voice
We all warned you about the S4's.................. Well at least you won't have it in the back of your mind now wondering when its gonna go. +++++ Rep for being a trooper , Post up some damn pics of the carnage! I've done M3's and M5's that the disc comes out in a wad of fibers, and I have already seen a new E60 M5 seize the twin plate clutch to the flywheel due to it getting hot (from launch mode is my guess!)
