Why would someone pay $700.00 right now? Most apple stores still sell these for $499.99 and have them in stock.

i hate when people try to pull this crap. buy one for yourself, but don't try and rip everyone else off. plus, this isn't even the 8 gig model! if stores are sold out now, people can wait a little. your status in society might not be as high though.

i was just curious, so i called the ATT stores here in the desert, and most of them still have them avail. so there's no shortage of these things..

if i was interested, i'd get one ,but i dont care too much for hte iPhone right now. EDGE is the killer.

my PPC6700 is EVDO and is still a crapload faster than EDGE..the best part is i can tether it to my laptop and use it as a wireless modem wherever i am. I WOULD get an iphone, but the PPC 6700 is the only phoen that sprint can't tell wehn you're tethering..so i'm gonna keep this phone for a while.. :P and it can still do everything the iphone can + more..

You have a point there. The price for one of these is 500-600 WITH a 2 YEAR contract. I would pay an extra 100 bucks not to be under contract. GLWS!!!

yea it actually is worth it in the end cuz having a contract sux sometimes but at the same time u prolly wont be able to get these insured so i think i'll jus wait 2 get an 8 gig later this yr
