Answers that do not qualify:

1.) Its a V-8. (or any other derivative)
2.) Its not an import.
3.) Its not mine.
4.) It sucks down loads of gas.
5.) Nothing
6.) etc.

Looking for a technical answer.

are you trying to pull out of the crowd that he is running fuel injection with the blower instead of the typical carbs?

Ummm not sure if it's a shitty pic or not... But that doesn't look like a real functioning blower... The hole isn't open.. But than again.. Maybe the port for the air opens only when you hit the gas like every other real blower....

FunkTron may have hit the nail ont he head though...

Thing is.. My uncle has a Firebird with a fake blower.

Don't american muscle cars have belts on the fornt??? I only noticed how thick the belt is... how could the engine have a serpentine belt pulley that thick also, without braking things atleast...?

the only thin that i can pick out is that on what looks to be an origigaly carborated setup the EFI is adapted right into the intake manifold and not a completely updated setup.

almost like someone who might have tried to make a wet no2 setup out of a dry no2 setup

there is absolutely nothing wrong at all......... it is a 351 Cleveland with a blower. It looks like it has no throttle body on it but with a roots style blower and FI not a big deal.

Never seen a RHD "muscle car" before. (the windshield wiper orientation leads me to believe it is RHD).

It's an Australian muscle car. Pretty sure it's a Ford.

Also, most if not all american engine have the belt on the front...

what is wrong with the belt i dont see anything wrong with it.....

i think it needs to be routed on the other side of the tensioner. i could be wrong

1: It is routed wrong, there is insufficent wrap around the blower pulley
2: its a cogged belt like a T-Belt, with the cogs rolling on a uncogged roller

1) Actually.... That's how all Blowers are routed:

It is a fake blower I believe. I read an article in C&D where it tested out old movie cars and iirc this is Mad Max's ride in the movie albeit it in red and not black. The replica of that car that the magazine test had the exact same fake blower poking through the hood.

+1 I don't see anything wrong with it either.

Well, In my experiance of S/C setups and belts in general, the more wrap, the less slip, granted it is a cogged belt, but IMO it would make better sense mechanicaly to have it on the other side of that idler roller, not to mention the absense of any sort of teeth on the roller itself.

The only thing else I can see wrong with that picture is the car looks like it is probably a trailer queen and never gets driven, thats just plain wrong period.

Closest answer:tup:

Fuel injection mounted below the blower. Deviation from the traditional supercharger operation that works on compression of both air and fuel. There is a fuel plate above the manifold. Compresses air THEN picks up fuel. Should work in theory. Who knows. Its the replica engine from Mad Max. The car is separate build. The only reason they did it this way was to replicate the movie car. Info on the site is blah.

duberforlife

that is nothing new.........there are tons of superchargers that add fuel after the charger..... IE ford lightning....... shit even the scoop is from the late sixties. http://www.howardsrods.com/images/camrattler.jpg

On the subject of fake blowers:

I was at Aliso Viejo movie theaters a few nights ago and saw a PT Cruiser with a huge blower scoop stuck onto the hood and what looked like a Tijuana fiberglass rendition of a cow catcher stuck on the front.
