Best programs in my opinion right here:

For PC: http://www.slsknet.org/
For Mac: http://www.solarseek.net/

You can pretty much find any song.

Torrents for songs is useless unless you want to download whole entire discographies.

So, to download dingle songs, I would suggest that you use limewire.

Well.. Each to their own, I'm just trying to save the guy some resources, Torrent programs slow down your PC by up to 50%. uTorrent seems to be the fastest to everyone, but it's to slowest for me, where I still use Azureus.

About limewire being harmful, I don't see how... I've used limewire for 5 years and have kept it updated, it has given my no problems whatsoever.

Don't get me wrong, Torrents are awesome becasue you can get free games, movies, music, programs, but it's just so slow. If you know how to properly forward your ports, it might be faster. My ISP hates P2P sharing so Torrents are my last ditch effort.

You're talking about how Torrent programs slow down your PC by 50%, where is your proof for this. And the fact that you say Azureus is faster than uTorrent? *EDIT: You said your own computer. My mistake.*

Azureus is a Java-based program, which basically means it will rape and rob your system of precious resources the longer it stays open and runs. On the other hand uTorrent (I believe) is a simple .Net application which does not continue to dump more and more crap onto your RAM.

It could also run slower because you are running different ports from Azureus (randomly a better one on your ISP/Router) and uTorrent (which could have generated one not so clean) which is a huge factor. I use Azureus and I use uTorrent; they are both good in their own regards.

Remember, Torrents should only be used in a legal and upstanding citizen manor. :)

You best thank these sites, because if it wasn't for the massive amount of legal torrents (mainly software distribution) then Torrents would be banned completely.

Respect the saviors :).

the only thing utorrent sucks up is massive bandwith...at least for me it does. i almost cant even play online games when im d/ll. but then again u shouldnt anyways haha lagg sucks. but yea torrents are practically virus free for the simple fact taht instead of d/ll whole files from a single person your d/ll tiny kb sized chunks from EVERYONE which makes it impossible to inbed viruses into it. i only use limewire as my very last effort to find music. as for only being able to d/ll dicographies utorrent asks you prior to d/ll which spefici files u want so if its just 1 single song then all u do is uncheck all the other songs.
