Yeah... I was bored, so I took a picture of my new EDC (Every Day Carry) knife.

Nothing too special, just a CRKT M16-10KZ. Cost me $50. Zytel Handles, Tanto blade, 3" blade, overall length is 7 1/4" so it fits nicely in my hand. Love the Carson Flip technology and the AutoLAWKS safety. Fun stuff.

Just having a picture of that can get you a knock on the door from the DOJ. For one, it has a threaded barrel, two you aren't old enough to legally poses a gun of any kind, three I don't think that gun was ever legal in this state. Be careful.

I guess, my eye sight aint what it use to be but if you got caught with that in your car, you would probably get a ration of shit from the cops, afterall, they can't tell from 50 feet, you're eating lead salad

In the state of California an Airsoft pistol is still considered a pistol.

I have a full-metal SR-15 electric airsoft rifle and a gas-powered p226 and when I bought the guns the guys at the shop told me to keep them in the back of my car and in their case/rifle bag because if you get caught with them in your glovebox or under your seat it's considered a concealed weapon. They also said that if you fire at someone trying to hurt them intentionally it could be considered assault with a deadly weapon. I don't know how valid that is, but I sure as hell don't want to find out.

Haha, you guys are pretty good, I was wondering who would guess it was an airsoft gun and would guess it was real.

Yeah, it used to have a orange tip, I ground it off and got too lazy to put black paint back on the tip. I have a silencer for it.

It shoots loud (about the same dB as a .22 pistol on automatic), fires 50 rounds, and scares the shit out of people. All I need when kids are vandalizing the area.

Also, the external is 100% real like the real steel, that includes the safety, bolt, stock (It does function), trigger, everything, even the way you take down the gun it's exactly like the real steel. It just cannot be modified to shoot 9mm rounds =(.

And yeah, that's a mouse pad I don't use because I don't want it getting dirty, I just use it to put my PMP on when it's charging:

I have that same knife . . . Love it, broke the tip off in Iraq when I was on post. I was stabbing it though some ammo cans and I decided to stab some quarters. Went through the first one fine, but the tip broke on in the second one. Columbia replaced it for free though. I obviously did not tell him I broke in off in GW's head!!

I was told basically the same when I got stopped. Fortunately I was in my FJ40 and it's the desert so I got off, but that thing went directly into my recovery supply case bolted in the rear.

Nope, don't plan on it, but if I have to.. I probably will.

So, if you're not shanking people, why do you carry it?

Rento_VW

EDIT: Believe me... If I could shank people, there are many idiots that give me dirty looks as I'm walking down the street, I would if I could.

I also have a video of it opening up. Posting this vid on another forum because I was having problems using the Carson mechanism, it didn't want to fully open with just a flick of the Carson mechanism.

Cheers.

Being that we are int he crappy state of CA with it's tight pants laws... There really is no way I can just run out and start firing into the air with my father's gun and not get my ass thrown into a slammer on numerous stupid accounts.

That's where airsoft pellets that can leave you with blood gushing welts that won't stop bleeding come in.

mike

I wouldn't say you can't bust off a shot or two in the air, but you'd better be quick about it and get your ass back in the house. Usually just a look at one is enough to scare off most people, however, if they are stupid, like most of us were at that age (or you still are at that age) If they have a real gun, you better hope they don't call your bluff. Then you will just make them mad.

Rento_VW

That makes me wonder... There sure are A LOT of SCE members who own guns... How is that?! I mean, most people who have a gun would'nt leave their gun in their house, that's stupid. Personally I would use a gun to protect my car from getting broken into.

Dunno.

BTW, yeah, i'm 17. So I can't get a gun for quite some time. Till than, knives will be tool of choice.

If I had my Sig on me, I'd be one of those people to draw on an idiot wielding an Airsoft.

As for shanking with the CRKT... the thing is too short to really do a lot of damge. Its more of a utility knife for cutting things, not people. If you want something to shanks someone with get a Kabar.

I dont carry one with me, as I don't frequent bad neighborhoods anymore.

But like the old saying goes, its better to be caught with one, than without one.
