repair///bodyshop around the 951???

OK QUICK!!!! the ladies insurance called back and was like they need the name of the bodyshop so they can cut the check...oh yea their also covering rental car fees woot woot!! but im a lil worried cuz when iwas lookin at thee rear door where it meets the mody the door doesnt close all teh way, its not by much but u can def tell compared to the passenger side

k got a quote from the dealership on the price of a new bumper and its in the ballpark of 500-600$ for the rear bumper, a new lip, and corrosponding hardware brackets hehehe...

i would just let the body shop deal with insurance, that way, if there's any additional damages found after the cars being worked on, the body shop can file for supplemental damages, and you wont have to worry about anything

plus, normally the insurance company writes the check in your name, and your suppose to sign it over to the body shop (do not deposit it yourself) unless you just wanna take the $$

im just gonna go to the same place warren went to get his car done at...its a body shop off magnolia and tyler st. a lil past the the skating rink. and yea he said the same thing bugzy said he'll do all the work and make any necessary adjustments

thats what it was. it'll be at the corner.
or better yet, take it to Tiff's dads shop. they do A+ work located in upland. he is the one that painted my mirror covers and R32 front bumper. that way we all get helped.. :tup:

i suggest bodyworks in colton (they are who repaired my car when the lady backed into it) they use ppg paint and do top notch work

is their a way i can get more than one opinion?? like going to diff shops?
when i took it to the guy off magnolia he looked at the bumper and said thats prob all their gonna replace and thtat from the quick walk around their didnt seem to be any frame damage? do all these shops YOU guys are mentioned have machines or what ever to check for structural damage?

its all off of visual, after they take off damaged parts is when they will find what else if anything needs replacing

from working 3 years in the shop and writing a few repair estimates here is what is gonna happen ted:

* get your quote(s) which is all visual and nothing more.
* take it to your desired shop (cough, Tiffs dad's) West Works 909-920-3046 ask for phillip.
* the insurance will give you a check and tell them when you are dropping the car off after you've talked to the shop to let them know.
* car's rear bumper gets removed, the estimator working on your claim at the shop will inspect it with a technician that will be working on your car while its at the shop.
* estimator contacts the insurance company to let them know there is more damages and will also give you a call to let you know what will be happening. (in the mean time, all work will stop until a supplemental inspection is done by the insurance agent) unless, its something minor that the insurance company will approve for asap.
* depending on what insurance company it is, they will have an inspector go out to the shop to write a second estimate with your estimator and technician.
* work proceeds and a second check is either mailed to you or the shop.
* work finishes and you get a call to pick up on a date/time.
* ted says, "OMGHI2UNEWCARFTMFWTHANKYOU!!"
