117000 and still rollin

i hit 117000 miles, and miraculously the car still runs. i bought my new gti because i missed the vr6, but i was in such a hurry to get one i ended up with one that needed all kinds of crap. so after a water pump, tensioner, belt, front struts and stracing springs, it's finally coming together. now i just need to do the timing chains and guides. what else would you guys suggest? just to keep it running really good. not planning on turbo or sc anytime soon. just want it to be reliable

117k - aw, it's just a baby! It hasn't even hit adolescence yet! :) Got a long life ahead of her.

Just hit 297,000 miles a couple weeks ago, running strong. And my old Jetta had 671,000 miles on her when she got killed in a wreck.

My dads ranger have a lil over 800,000 original motor and trans, I guess it show when you take good care of ur car it takes good care of you

yeah, i know vw's last a while. i just think i've been getting the reverse midas touch lately. everything i touch turns to shit. this was actually the lowest mileage car i've bought. it was around 110,000 i think. i hope i can get this one past 200

I bet if I added up the mileage on each of the odometers that's been swapped into and out of my Rabbit in the last 23 years...i would cry.
