Hey guys, took these pics on Friday night and did some PP for the band, wanted to go for a blown out, vintage 70's look. Used my 20d and the 50mm 1.8, bumped up the iso and snapped away. The band was very happy with the way they came out and I think they have a cool feeling to them. I wanted to go to a black/white, but they opted to keep the sepia tones.

Thanks. They are called "The Deadnotes". Play locally in Southern Orange County along with LA here and there. Recording a cd i guess at the moment.

Great pictures. They are clear and sharp and have a vintage feel to them. :tup2:

I think you did a great job capturing the feel you were trying for.

Besides the fact that none of the photos are generally interesting or appealing, the fake borders look like they should be on a cheezy band website.

well thanks for the input.... cant please the masses

edit: whats your deal anyways? its always seems your ripping people apart who are just trying to learn. i can understand if it was, "your over exposed", or "your out of focus" but its never that. its the "cheezy band website"

im sorry we dont all get paid to take pictures.

Pretty sure the cheezy band website thing was a first, but, possibly at no fault to your own, the photos are boring. No emotion, nothing to drag me in, and definitely nothing that makes me want to find out more about that band.

I don't rip everyone apart, nor am I telling you to stop shooting photos—everyone on here gets sensitive when I don't post "awesome!"

And, the borders are just bad; they don't look real in any sense and they look low-res—I think I can see the pixels... along with the outline of where the border meets the photo. I'd prefer the photos without them.

I get paid, but not a lot. So don't sweat it.

thanks for the constructive criticizm, the one line remarks dont help any in trying to expand on being a better photographer.
