///////////////// SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD ////////////////

Hey guys, I've decided to keep my OEM HID reps so I'm putting up for sale some Jetta retrofits I bought from another vortexer a little while ago.

Description:

They are smoked housing with OEM BMW X5 projectors, OEM ballasts, and OEM D2S HID bulbs. They are plug 'n play so no extra wiring is needed. They are not Bi-xenon and they don't have fogs. They are very bright look great day and night. It's european spec (E-code) beam pattern, so it's like this: _____/¯¯¯¯¯¯

Condition:

Everything works great. The adjusters work and all tabs are there (one of the bottom ones are a bit melted I guess from having them in the oven, but it doesn't effect performance nor holding the headlight in place). No leaks, no scratches inside the lense. The only thing they need is a lense restoration for the outside part (They're like $15-20 and I never did it because I wasn't picky and they were fine for me). Shouldn't be a problem if you're not picky. DIY for the restoration: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2485084 .

Why I'm selling them:

I've had: Stock headlights, stock headlights with drop in HIDs, Helix (ebay) projectors with HIDs, Helix OEM HID replicas, and now these. These are by far the best set up as far as light output and brightness I've had on my car. Personally, I wanted to see if I would like the smoked looked on my car and found out that I like the OEM HID look more on my car. I was thinking of keeping both sets, but I think that is a bit of overkill.

Price:

$550 picked up Socal (I can do the install, no problem) or add $20 for shipping, please.

I'm selling them for what I paid for them. I bought them and had to put a little money / time into them to get them how they are now.

PM me or post a reply. Email me if you'd like at: nstanton007@gmail.com

Feedback:

I've sold my old Helix setup with HIDs and wiring here before. You can search my s/n to find I've sold a lot of things, including some wheels and have never had one problem. Here's the link for the other headlights I've sold: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3138050 .

Pictures:

Sorry about the reflection on some of the pictures. I'll get some better ones when I can.

Pictures and video are anything but professional, sorry :(. But, I've added all of these so you can get a clear idea of how they are. Pictures of ballast and back of headlights coming soon.

Hey, thanks for the kind comments guys. :tup2: I'd keep these over my OEM HID reps because the output is so kickass on these but I like the chrome housing on my car over the smoked (I don't think my car pulls off the smoked front end that well IMO...)

Sorry the pics weren'tt working for me hahah now I saw the closer ones. I might wanna start talking about buying them

I have a video I still need to post. It's just me driving in my neighborhood with the lights on, shows the beam really well. I'll get it posted soon. Let me know if there are any more pictures you'd like to see, I'd be happy to snap them for you.

Thanks again for the comments. :) Yeah Ted (sorry if I got your name wrong, terrible with names), looks like you have e-codes, the e-code pattern gets larger / more noticeable when you're farther away from an object. There are different kinds of e-code patterns. Andie's old Helix headlights I had had huge e-code flares that would light up freeway signs. I'll try to get a pick but those were intense!

Yeah i'd like to see the video then I can decide weither or not I want them, Just playing it safe cuz the headlights I just bought not to long ago SUCK ASS LOL

Here is the best video I took of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FPqLqq4QsQ

I used my point and shoot camera and just placed it on my dash. If that doesn't do it's justice for you, I can have a friend hold the camera with another video or something. They're blue at the beginning like that because the HIDs warm up like that (normal).

Sorry, now looking at the pics I posted makes my headlights look like ass. I'll try to get some cleaner pictures too.

Let me know what more you'd like to see, if anything else. I don't mind getting what you need.

Actually I'd like to see em like light up in a garage to see how BRIGHT they really are, SUPER SUPER up close and anything else you think would look good haha

High beam driving too yea?

High beam driving too yea?

They aren't Bi-xenon, meaning it's only the low beam. It would be a huge waste to retrofit another set of bi-xenon everything in them. If anything, you could put leveling motors in them and raise them when you need it. Driving at least for me, whether it was on the freeway or where I live, I didn't need the high beam. They're brighter than they seem in the video and pictures.

It'll be hard to show just how bright they are because depending on the exposure time on the camera, I can just make them light up the whole garage or make them seem very dim. You'd probably just would have to take my word when I say they're pretty damn bright. If you add a relay rather than just plugging the stock wiring harness into them, you could possibly get them even brighter.

I'll see what other pictures I can come up with to show how good they are.

Thanks mang, yeah, the flare is cool. This was the flare on my old helix ones (the craziest e-code flare I've ever seen (definitely blinding to people...)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, here are some new pictures I snapped tonight. Again, crappy camera + no camera skillz + box for tripod (didn't find my real tripod) = garbage for pics. This is the best I could come up with to show brightness / sexiness. If you want to get the real life feel for these headlights and get the feel for the brightness, check out some BMWs on the road. Basically, that's what you're getting being that these are OEM BMW X5 projectors, ballasts, 4300k bulbs, ect.

No pressure, but these will only be available for Socal pickup through August 6th because I am moving to Seattle.

Priority shipping (with insurance) would probably take only 1-2 days. The $570 covers shipping and if it's anymore, I'll just pay the rest. I just shipped another thing priority this afternoon to a guy near you and the lady said it would probably be there by tomorrow.

Yup, they plug straight in as if they were your stock headlights now. No need for a wiring harness like with some aftermarket HID kits. It's recommended that you run a relay so it can draw power from the battery but it's completely up to you.

They are leveled right now. Basically, they are set to where they should be. You can adjust them without having to take the bumper and headlights out. It's really easy to do incase you ever want to do it.

you might need to level them again depending on how low your car is but the headlights are just plug and play

Oh, aren't you the expert :)

Unless you have a California lift on your Jetta, you won't really need to adjust them.

Yeah, as long as your TFT pin is bent down on your headlight switch, you won't have daytime running lights. I have mine disabled so I can control when they're on and off. It's better to have the daytime running lights off because since daytime running lights give only like 40-60% power, the ballasts aren't getting enough power to run, causing them to fail prematurely. That's a good list of mods you got going there.

Thanks for the bump, Ted. I'm waiting to see some pics dude. Got your wheels yet?

No problem. Actually, there's a guy on vortex that has a white Jetta with a boser I think and I know he has smoked headlights. I'll try to find a pic.
