Is this permanent? What is the average cost?

are you using Novus for these results?

Results will vary depending on the environment that the lenses are exposed to. I will be removing the damaged layer and exposing a new layer of plastic, so it will take about the same amount of time for the headlights to oxidize as they did when they were new. The plastic polish/cleaner I use will help hold off the oxidation process to an extent, but it will not permanently prevent future clouding and oxidation of your headlights that occurs due to weather, driving conditions and time. Repair/Restoration starting @ $65 a pair.

I'm not trying to bash this thread, but, I've done mine a few times. The oxidation by no means stays a way as long as they did brand new. Mine lasts about a couple months before it needs it again. I've been able to keep them clear (as in no fog) by using rubbing compound and plastic polish, but they have a yellow tint that I can't get to go away. I'm thinking smoked ecodes!

I bet I could work the right kind of magic.

Regardless it's still worth the elbow grease to have the shiny clear headlights. Dull headlights can ruin the whole car.

Yes. I have had it eliminate some completely and others have shown great improvement. If we are talking about baked and deteriorated, then thats another story. :D:o The KEY is once you have restored, ya gotta keep it protected. (IT WILL COME BACK AS FAST AS IT CAME ORIGINALLY!)

Thats HALF the price of just one lense! I will refer my customers to you, they may have to drive, but to save over $400 for replacements, well worth it

I believe they are to help adjust the light level... if not, they are just from the moulds used to make the lens.

It really depends on how damaged they are. I have started with 600 before :D Whatever I start with, I end with 2000.

Good to know. I actually tried some 3M stuff that a friend had with a electric buffer and got the lenses on my Jeep pretty clear. I could have pressed harder or buffed longer, but I didn't want to burn the lenses. I keep a coat of PlastX on there and if they cloud up again maybe I'll try some sandpaper. Thanks.
