have you talked to germanwerks over off palomar if he cant tell u what it is then he will know some one in the area that can
Good luck if you are on a 1.8t. They don't like and are unwilling to even look at your car if has a 1.8t.
They refused to look at my brake system just because I had a 1.8t...don't ask me what the engine has to do with the brakes. Another time I went to see if they could on oil change and they said "no".
I say steer clear from them. Their customer service sucked, they didn't even try to explain why they wouldn't work on my car, and they never even tried to recommend anyone who could help me.
Make the drive and hit-up some of the more friendly service shops in town.
Group5, Creative Autoworks, VW Paradise, pure motorsport, etc...

You might also want to check out All German Auto in Escondido or my work, AJ-USA, in Mira Mesa.

Hmmm, don't know why Jesse would have done that. I have been going to him for about 4 years and have never had any problems.

Trust me, I wanted to give them my business and they refused...twice! And i'm not the only one. There is another member out here in chula vista that experinced the same results/treatment. They used to advertise themselves as a full service european shop but they quickly changed that when we had another topic discussion about their shop.
I'm glad you guys have experienced different and I wish I could share the same sentiment. They were literally down the street from me and I was more than happy to support the local euro shop. They decided otherwise. The first time, I chalked it up as a fluke, the second time was the last time for me. They have made it impossible for me (as well as a few others) to recommend them to anyone, for anything. I say direct your hard earned dollars to the other shops in the county that will appreciate your business.
So I stand behind my opinion/review...GermanWerks SUX. :soapbox:
