I haven't used X-Box live yet. Is that something you buy separate of the game or does the game include it?

(I bought the XBox to play Halo.. it's the only game I have)

Xbox live is another thing you buy ... 50 bucks gets you a year of service and the headset. Well worth it IMO.

Alan_One, I would recommended Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The sequel, Warrior Within, comes out in December, as well.

No Xbox Live! for me... not worth the cost considering how much I play.

I was looking at that the other day waiting in line... remembering it on the Mac (classic) way back in the B&W days... It's the reason I like Halo so much... It's Marathon only with better graphics... We used to play tournaments of marathon infinity on the weekends on our network at work... we'd bring beer and food... damn those were the days...

Okay then, Prince of Persia. Thanks for the recommendation.

i did...oh sh#!t i need game now...now gahdamnit!!! my brother took my copy of Halo 1 and im feening for it. i might even buy the soundtrack cuz of the all neet bands on it.

anyone camping out the night of the release? i bought a special edition of halo2...hell it was $5 more than the regular edition. wondering if i should wait out for it. or just get there like 30mins later, that way the rush is gone. oh wait, its a school night so kids might not be thur...LOL...then again its halo and they just might call in sick. hell i might call in sick for work, LOL!!! i'll be at the esco EB next to the sports authority off autoparkway

Duck Hunt was fun... that gun's trigger hurt, though, after a couple of hours.

If you pre-ordered it, why are you waiting in line for it? Just wait till the morning or the next day.

I actually reserved my copy of Halo 2 in a Super Walmart that's open 24 hours.

That means I get mine at midnight! :D

I think Rob pre-ordered that game. He told me that when it gets in, I should "buy a book or study more" since we have only got the one TV. hahaha. He plays X-Box live all the time. In fact, I think that is the only Christmas present I bought him last year that he actually uses! Hmmm, now that I think of it, I bet this is the reason we are getting a 50" LCD!

put me down for a 50" too...LOL!!! yeah your gonna need a book or TWO. halo 2 the mother of all FPS for the Xbox, multi-player is a blast, dueling weapons my gah!!! single player i hear is wow...yeah wow!!!

Yeah, I'm working on some crap for grad school so I'm sure I will find things to do. I think I might go learn Tagalog too. And if all else fails, I can learn to knit! HA! I would just leave, but come December I'm having surgery and will be laid up for several weeeks.

well then you can learn how to play Halo 2 with Rob...its fun and becareful its very competative too...tagolog? is you sure? lol, its fun. well good luck on things and the surgery...

The Limited Edition Halo 2 comes with a free 2 month xbox live access that's usable until Mar '05. You can try it out first before you buy a headset.

It's fun, mang! :tup:

It isnt just the LE copies, my regular copy of halo2 came with the free 2 months of live as well. All in all, this game is fun as shit. More refined gameplay compared to combat evolved.

HALO2 was well worth the 3 year wait, i have 2 xbox's because i had to have the trans. green HALO edition one too. 8 hours into the campaign and 1:45 into online so far, i had to buy a 4-pack of redbull for work the last two days. gamertag: VALMONT09

i had a 6 kill spree online, i'm a nerd!

i rented KILLZONE for PS2, not a bad FPS but you can't jump, how lame is that? oh well doesn't matter now HALO2 owns my life!

well, i finally convinced somebody from my office to deliver me my copy of halo 2. i'll probably start the campaign mode tomorrow. probably won't be able to get online since they are still working on installing my floors, and some other stuff, so my connection will be disconnected again tomorrow, but when i do, the gamertag is: audiracer2002

I've logged 20 hours in the last 2 days... gotta do some work now.

The game is beyond my expectations. won't spoil anything but the cut scenes are a lot more theatrical. I never knew you had to play through the game to unlock multiplayer levels but I guess you do. Multiplayer is a lot more enjoyable with the addition of ALL the alien weapons plus ALL the vehicles and new stuff to boot. The hand gun is less effective, the reg machine gun is more effective and there's an alien version of every human weapon including the sniper rifle.

I'm already in and managing a clan with a few friends, but a 'tex clan seems cool.

i beat the campain on Normal. i want more!!! more master chief!!! covanant side was cool. rather play as the master cheif only!!! the covanant side could have been a separate game on its own.

played live for a while. crazy people on them...need to brush up on some tactics

late night live requires some serious teamwork, theres some tough 11 and 12 rank guys that play well together, i just float and get some really idiotic team members sometimes. daytime is 100% easier solo.
