I picked up a porter cable brad nailer for a not quite so little cabinetry project I've got going.

As always... if my host is being shady... here is a link

I was captured mid swig with a beer in one hand and a nailgun in the other.

Haha cool pick. Nothing like a cool beer and air tools. Pst up some pics of the project once you get done with it.

The beer is a can of Tecate.

As for looking chiseled... I had some bad seafood last weekend so I've been a little dehydrated. :)

As soon as things start looking like more than a pile of boards, I'll post some pics. I'm making cabinets for our closet so I was ripping down plywood all day. I had to get the brad nailer to nail trim into the grain of the plywood. After a few test shots with my finish nailer, it was obvious anything 15 gauge was gonna split the plywood apart. We are using red oak plywood with solid red oak for the trim and faces of things like the drawers.

:ha:

That was actually my first beer. We had just finished taking a couple test shots to see if the brads would split the plywood we used. Then we cracked open a couple while we put things away.

so you didn't throw the beer cans and try to shoot them?

that woulda been cool...

Can't...

Nailguns these days don't shoot without the nose pressed against something. On this particular gun, even if you somehow locked the nose back, it has to be released after each shot or the gun won't fire again.

Its easier to just pull out a BB gun.

And you're giving up that easily?

I expected more from you after some beer.

After some beer, the only thing anyone should expect out of me is laziness. :p

Lazy does not equal drunk.

Something about cold beer just makes me want to relax.

Very true. Too much beer makes you slosh around. :D

Actually, if this were a larger tool I probably wouldn't be drinking a beer. I tend to pull out the beer near the end of the day after I'm done using the larger implements of destruction and I'm just kinda cleaning up.

This was after the table saw was put to bed for the night and the only tools we had out were clamps and such some box assembly. Not to say a brad nailer couldn't hurt you but its not a terribly dangerous tool.

I dunno about that..........we've all known some new tools..........usually not that good. :D
