View Full Version : The Damage @ 5 mph!
It is so funny to see brand new mid-size luxury cars being crashed at only 5 mph (front-rear) and 3 mph (corner) and suffer such damages.

I guess our older cars would fare better, like the Escort.

Guess you didn't do well in physics huh??
The point of more damage is to delay impact. The longer the impact, the more energy is distributed. Like catching a bullet thrown football. You next to catch it as lightly as possible, preventing as much impact pain in your hands as possible.
Cars are made of plastic not only because their cheaper, but they distribute energy more effieciently helping prevent serious injury in major collisions.

I agree, but the cost of repair is OUTRAGEOUS! Look at the .pdf that is on that website.

well, what would you rather repair, your car or a fractured neck that has left you paralyzed, figuratively speaking of course.

If you ever get a bug to watch a documentary . . .I would watch "Who Killed the Electric Car"
It's a good documentary . . . . but they make a point that most car manufacturers make their money on parts, not the cars themselves.
