Nevermind guys... I got a helmet. Its an O'neil. Snell Rated M2000. Its fucked up as hell (asthetically). But its sound ;) Just got to clean up the cobwebs, dust from it, and throw the liner in the washer :) Anyone wanna airbrush it for me? heheh I'll probably just put some stickers on it :D Should be enough for AutoX

I tried to talk to Tom about this. He just said go by what the website says. And the website just says that it has to be last 3 snell ratings. Doesn't even specify which. SA, M, MA, etc.. I tried to explain that to him, and he just said that he has never seen someone fail tech because of a helmet. I also asked him if I fail tech will I get my money back, he said the same thing, haven't seen anyone fail tech yet... So hmmm we'll see...

This is a greeat place to check out. They are right off the 55 fwy. Tons of helmets in stock.
I bought my pyrotect helmet there that I'm using now for auto-x. You'll need a minimum
snell rating of 95 for auto-x.

the old saying goes:

"if you have a $10 head, wear a $10 helmet"

i guess when purchasing a helmet, one should take a good look at the intended and future uses....i needed to buy a helmet for my kart...immediate needs were for an M-rated, closed face helmet and nothing more...many closed-face M2000 helmets available for under $200.

however, i do some automotive racing and would one day love to do an open-wheel car...and since snell ratings are only valid for so long, I ponied up the extra few bucks and got an SA2005 rated closed-face helmet....
