Well it looks like the NHRA will be staying out of west coast next year with the street classes until mid way thru the season with the first event in the divison 7 area in June and its all the way out in Denver and then Vegas in September and ending the seaon in Pomona in October like they did this year....the only event to even come close to the west at the start of the season is the NHRA PowerAide event in Vegas in April but thats the power aid series and its all hot rods and muscle cars
WTF is the NHRA thinking you ask. Well the import market and monoplies is going else wheres because of the the problems with street racing on the west coast the market has shifted to other areas and the NHRA is going where the money is.
Hot Rod magazine brought it up in an article a while back that the sales of after market products for imports have dropped way off from the way they were 5 years ago alot of it has to do with the fact most of the kids that started this import craze now have better jobs and can afford the muscle cars (mustags camaro's ect ect) that they dreamed of once owning.
heres the link to the schedule NHRA 2005 (http://www.nhrasportcompact.com/2004/news/november/110201.html)
