This is a car that one of the US based SAAB tuners have been working on.
http://genuinesaab.com --- Authorized Nordic Tuner and Custom Parts Manufacturer.
Its a 2.5Ltr 9-4 Viggen with a GT3071 on it I beleive.

I think they are shooting at Dougs car!! lol....
Not to be a hater... but that power curve looks pretty shitty IMO. Nothing until 3500, then a huge spike at 4500 which tapers to stage3ish levels around red-line... Don't get me wrong, 400whp is still sick... and I'm sure its a fun car... just personally I would rather have a nice 350whp across the rpm's instead of just having something where I can say "I have 400whp".
This is Ed's Vig right? Or has someone else made a 2.5 now?

You're right the power vurve on this is definatly sharp. And yes this is Ed's Viggen too.
The reason I posted this was just to show that there is hope out there for T7 motors!

Im a little surprized by that powercurve too. Its possible they they didn't go WOT till 3500 rpm in the pull.
Heres mine with the 3071R

I really think that this is the first round of tuning for this car and we will see the curve change some as it progresses. I know that the owner (Ed) just switched from one tuner to another so its very possible that they are just working out the kinks in this one.

Could be. Looks like it comes on nice and hard, probably a 48AR though judging from the drop in top end.
I think the curve is probably due to the way it was run on the dyno.

I'm pretty much Saab-ignorant here.
Is the Viggen a tuner car or a car with a certain turbo upgrade? I saw the thread title and I thought that maybe Saab was selling cars with the aircraft names (Viggen, Draken, Gripen) I think that would be pretty cool but they would have to look wild (like Saab aircraft) and then go like hell to match the looks.

The Viggen was a High Output version of the OG9-3...
From Wikipedia:
A high-powered version of the 9-3 was the Viggen (Swedish for "thunderbolt"), named after the Saab Viggen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_Viggen) aircraft. It is no longer in production. It came with a turbocharged 2.3 L (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liter) engine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internal_combustion_engine), giving 225 hp ECE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECE) (166 kW (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watt)) in MY1999 and 230 hp ECE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECE) (169 kW (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watt)) in later models. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h could be reached in 6.4 seconds and the top speed is 249 km/h. To handle the high power and performance the following elements were changed/modified: heavy duty clutch and pressure plate, stiffened and lowered springs, firmer dampers, stronger CV joints and driveshafts. In addition to extra power and torque, it also featured a special rear wing (increasing the downforce by 50%) requiring relocation of the radio antenna, aerodynamically designed bumpers and side skirts (reducing the drag coefficient by 8%), specially bolstered and colored leather seats (available in three colors: black on black, black on blue, black on orange), sportier suspension, bigger wheels, upgraded brakes, and other upgraded parts. Production quantity and color choice was very limited (Fewer than 3000 Viggens manufactured; available colors are lightning blue, monte carlo yellow, steel gray, silver, black, or laser red). The Viggen was only available with a five speed manual transmission, CD player, and the Viggen specific motorized and heated leather seats. In 1999 Saab introduced the Tronic 7 engine management system which was developed in house, making 2,000,000 calculations every second from combustions temp, boost control, variable torque curves and many other critical engine processes.
New Viggen buyers in the USA were treated to two days of advanced driving instruction at Road Atlanta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_Atlanta) and dined with Saab USA executives from nearby Norcross, Georgia. This program, operated by Saab and Panoz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panoz), was called Viggen Flight Academy and later transformed into the current SAAB Aero Academy.
The Viggen was created for performance seeking Saab enthusiasts and remains very desirable among Saab enthusiasts. Motoring journalists were widely critical of untamed torque steer in low gears.
500 Units were produced for the UK market.
