View Full Version : How to Install/ Replace Diverter valve on 1.8T

Diffiuculty: 2 out of 5

Install time: 5 minutes to an hour depening how long it takes you to get the clamps off

Tools Needed:
Dremel with saw disc or Wire Snippers
Medium flat head screw driver
plyers
vegtable oil/ grease



Step 1: Locate Stock Valve, It should be next to the intake, its the thing with the hose connected to it.

Step 2: Use the Snippers / Dremel to cut the one time use Clamps off (Note: the dremel will slide though the clamps so be careful) If needed, use the screw drvier to pry the clamp.

Step 3: Use the Plyers to open the clamp holding the hose to the side of teh vavle, Then use the screw drvier , or twsits the valve silighty to help slide the hose off the valve.

At this point all clamps, on the top, bottom, and side should be off. if not....take them off....then take the valve out.


Step 4: Use a lil oil / grease on the side hose to help it slide into to new valve. Re attach the hoses, put the side clamp back on and ethier replace the clamps or zip tie the hoses on the top and bottom..... and your done. :tup2:
