I love my Verizon ... Phones may suck right now but the service rocks, as does their customer service.

I have ATT. Its sucks. I only got it because they were the only providers that worked on Camp Pendleton. Now almost all providers work and I am stuck with my sh**y contract.

workin with ATT has been fine for me soo far. i know of the two dead zones that are on my travels....and speed dependent...they may or may not affect me.

i had cingular before...and they were always great with me.....i knew other people with them that hated it and whatnot....but mine was always fine.

now i just gotta wait for school to start so i can see if i get just of good of reception with my new ATT phone as i did with the cingular phone.

im waiting for the ATT and Cingular aquisition/transformation to get completed...in wonder if coverage will improve any?

Ever pick up a call and lose it instantly only to look at the length of the call and it says something like 20 minutes. I had this happen a few times so the next time it did I wrote down the time, date, actual length, and supposed length of the call. When I got my bill I double checked it. Sure enough... the call actually lasted about half a second. Ring, ring, pick up, click, no answer. The phone said it lasted 20 or so minutes. The bill said it lasted 8 minutes. I don't remember this happening with Sprint or ATT but I'm sure it did. I wonder how many minutes we're all screwed out of cause, what are the chances we'll check.

That sounds more like a problem with your phone and not with the network because the phone's timer is independent of the network's timer. I would get the phone swapped out for a new one (if it's still under warranty).

If my phone says 20 minutes and my bill says 1 minute, yeah maybe. When my phone says 20 minutes and the bill says 8 and the call never even started, I think it goes beyond the phone.

i've tested the v710

the pics that come out of that thing is insane, when you look at the screen to take the pic is seamless, it doesn't get choppy when you move around...its got a pretty big display and the screen is clean...we got those back in febuary or march...can't remember. the only thing i didn't like was the size of it as a whole.

btw, if your wondering, i used to work for NSTL, that is contracted by qualcomm to test cell phone applications. i tested mostly BREW applications, games and other stuff. it was fun!!! but it wasn't the direction i wanted to go, not much in advancement but the pay was great!!!

Video quality is pretty good, better quality than what they show on those Sprint commercials.

Yes the phone is a little big, but it's a great size for me because I like a solid phone. However, the phone is pretty thin.

I've been using it all weekend and have been more than pleased. The Bluetooth works quite well with the headset, as well as with my iPaq. It's quite neat to be able to get online anwhere from my iPaq using my cell phone, all without wires. :)

Anyway, as far as picture quality and video quality are concerned check out this site:

I start on Monday as a Cingular sales associate.

Most of the people I have talked to or know that work for Cingular hate the company, but they give you a free phone and service to go along with it...

I like Sprint, but there are a lot of dead spots and it's a little expensive for what you get.

Actually I think it came with my new plan. If you want to add it to an existing plan, yes there is a monthy fee, but it ends up being worth it if you text alot.

I do hate the new Sprint Nextel marketing though, that yellow makes me want to vomit. But as long as my phone works I guess it doesnt matter.

FUCK verizon.. after 10 chocolate phones and 2 of the VX8600 (next model up from the chocolate) IN LESS THEN A YEAR, I canceled their plan, GLADLY will pay the 175 early termination fee to never deal with those fucktards again! Customer service is shit! I celled in complaining about my chocolate 80 billion times, there was little to no coverage in my house or around my neighborhood. LG just didn't work for me in my area... NOBODY could do anything to help me. I got T-mobile, with the HTC Dash phone, andI have coverage everywhere! Even my house where verizon said that no service is good here. Fucking retards. UGH I hate them with a passion.
Now I'm thrilled with T-mobile. :D

CHOCOLATE: this is what put me over the edge with Verizon and LG phones...
Less than a week old. Never dropped. Just was ringing and vibrating, and this happened.

I've had T-mo for almost three years now, and LOVE them. I've had just about everybody else, and they can all go SUCK it. Customer service, coverage, phones, GSM technology...all way above the rest of them.

T-mo FTW!

Cingular was a joint venture between two companies, AT&T and Pac Bell (i believe). Anyway, AT&T bought out the partners share and instead of keeping the Cingular name they are changing it to AT&T as it is a more well known name. Personally I have really enjoyed my Cingular the phones are a bit awkward but if you buy your own GSM phone without a simlock then it's a great company.
